Bhagya Lakshmi 16th January 2025 Written Update. The episode kicks off with Garimacharya, the all-knowing sage, imparting her pearls of wisdom to Rishi. Ever the dutiful son, Rishi seeks her blessings. Garimacharya, apparently a fan of Rishi, showers him with praises in front of Neelam. Meanwhile, Neelam, ever the vigilant orchestrator, starts hunting for Malishka because Garimacharya has been summoned to bless her. Kiran hustles to fetch Malishka, who finally graces the scene to receive the blessings.
As part of the ritual, Garimacharya ties a sacred thread on Malishka’s wrist, claiming it will ward off the evil eye. But when the sage tries to check Malishka’s pulse, she snatches her hand away like she’s hiding state secrets. Neelam, in her quintessential no-nonsense tone, scolds Malishka for her behavior and explains that Garimacharya’s mystical powers can determine a baby’s conception and birth timeline. (Seriously, does Garimacharya moonlight as a human ultrasound?)
Reluctantly, Malishka allows the sage to proceed. But oh, the drama! Garimacharya senses something “off” about the Oberoi baby. Malishka, suddenly panicked, wonders if the sage has uncovered her little secret. Feigning illness, she bolts from the room. Karishma, ever the meddler, questions Garimacharya’s ominous declaration. But before things escalate, Aanchal drags Karishma aside, giving her a much-needed lesson in discretion. Aanchal warns that if Garimacharya spills the beans about Malishka’s baby, the Oberois could face public humiliation. A light bulb moment for Karishma—she finally realizes her loose tongue almost got them exposed.
Meanwhile, Harleen invites Lakshmi to seek blessings from Garimacharya. Lakshmi obliges, gracious as ever, while Shalu joins in, hyping up the sage’s mystical baby-detecting superpowers. Their conversation is interrupted when they spot Rano arguing with a guard who refuses to let her enter the Oberoi mansion due to her lack of an invitation. Shalu steps in, convincing the guard to let Rano in. Amid this chaos, Anushka, the cunning schemer, observes the security loophole and decides to exploit it by deceiving the inexperienced guard.
In another corner of the house, Neelam entrusts Lakshmi with the responsibility of looking after Garimacharya. However, the sage takes a misstep and nearly falls—Lakshmi, quick on her feet, catches her. In that brief touch, Garimacharya drops a bombshell: Lakshmi is pregnant. Shocked and worried, Lakshmi rushes away, fearing this revelation might soon become public knowledge.
Lakshmi, now in full crisis mode, resolves to retrieve her medical reports from Rishi’s safe before anyone discovers her secret. Her attempts are thwarted when Kiran unexpectedly enters the room looking for Malishka. Meanwhile, the subplot thickens as Jaya and Maya have a heated exchange over who holds a more special place in Garimacharya’s heart. Maya fumes over Jaya’s greed, and Kiran conveniently overhears the drama.
Back at the mansion entrance, Anushka pulls off her ultimate con by convincing the naïve security guard that she’s Ayush’s wife, thus gaining entry. One has to admire her audacity, though it’s safe to say the guard needs a crash course in family dynamics before his next shift.
