Jhanak 22nd January 2025 Written Update

Jhanak 22nd January 2025 Written Update. The episode begins with Mahek delivering a scathing rebuttal to Sejal’s unwarranted criticism of Jhanak. However, Ketki swoops in, eagerly fanning the flames of negativity. With her not-so-subtle passive-aggression, she claims Jhanak hasn’t proven herself as the “Lakshmi” of the house, as if that’s an ancient title handed out in family board meetings. Anirudh steps in like the voice of reason, assuring Ketki she’ll one day eat her words. Sejal, determined to be the family’s self-appointed critic, presses him for proof, and Anirudh’s calm response about Vihaan’s good choice leaves Sejal with nothing but her usual frown. Meanwhile, Prachi suggests Anirudh take kheer for Arshi, and Jhanak, proving once again she’s the class act in the room, insists on it for Arshi’s well-being. But Ketki, never missing an opportunity to flex her irrelevant authority, acts as if she’s blessing Anirudh with this decision.

Elsewhere, Shubh lays into Bipasha and Lal for their perpetual freeloading, which might as well be their full-time job. Dadi steers the conversation to Mimi’s marriage, but Lal tries to wriggle out of his responsibilities faster than a fish on a hook, citing imaginary financial issues. Anjana sees through his excuses and calls him out for never contributing. Bipasha, on the other hand, thinks passing the buck to Anirudh is a masterstroke, but Arshi, in a rare show of decency, steps in to assure everyone that she and Anirudh will manage it. Bablu, not to be outdone in this game of verbal one-upmanship, dramatically claims the responsibility is his, leaving Shubh to sulk inside, clearly wishing for a mute button for his family.

Meanwhile, Vihaan plays host, inviting Anirudh and his family to visit post-delivery. Ketki seizes the moment to plan Ahaan’s birthday party and Priyanshi’s wedding because apparently, being pushy is her only skill. Jhanak attempts to inject some logic, pointing out Priyanshi’s marriage isn’t set in stone yet, but Ketki brushes her off like a fly, declaring her plans final. When Jhanak dares to suggest Priyanshi focus on her education, Ketki unleashes her inner tyrant, scolding her for meddling in “family matters,” as though Jhanak isn’t part of the family. Even Mahek’s support for Jhanak earns her Ketki’s ire, who dismisses the idea of education for women as if it’s an optional luxury. Anirudh tries to bring Ketki into the 21st century, but she stubbornly clings to her archaic ideals, leaving everyone exhausted by her iron-fisted ignorance.

Meanwhile, Bipasha and Lal speculate about Anirudh’s whereabouts with all the subtlety of gossip columnists. Lal, armed with baseless assumptions, hints that Arshi should worry about Jhanak, while Bipasha gleefully stirs the pot. Jhanak, unaware of their pettiness, brings laddus to Anirudh, only to be met with his unnecessary lecturing about her choices. She bites back, admitting her marriage has become a joke, delivering a reality check that Anirudh sorely needs. Their exchange highlights how Jhanak, despite her challenges, carries herself with dignity while those around her act like they’re auditioning for a soap opera’s “Most Toxic Character” award.

As for Choton, his canceled marriage sparks another round of family drama. Dadi tries to reason with him, but Choton stands firm, wary of Mrinalini’s father’s intentions. Bipasha, never missing a chance to stir trouble, sides with Choton, declaring the marriage a mismatch. Her comments provoke Dadi, resulting in another pointless shouting match. Choton, unfazed, sticks to his decision, making it clear he’s not interested in playing along with everyone else’s melodrama.

Jhanak, determined to carve out some peace in her life, pleads with Anirudh to keep her past a secret. Anirudh, in his usual morally superior tone, advises honesty, but Jhanak firmly insists she just wants to live without unnecessary interference. Her request for him never to return is both poignant and a quiet dig at his constant meddling. The episode ends with Jhanak yearning for peace while everyone else remains tangled in their webs of chaos.

Ahead in the show, Riddhi asks Jhanak to teach her and Priyanshi dance steps. While Jhanak enjoys dancing, Sejal, ever the schemer, spots her and plots to expose her, probably for the sake of staying relevant.
