Jhanak 23rd January 2025 Written Update Anirudh ignored. The episode opens with Jhanak dropping the hammer on Anirudh, firmly telling him to never step foot in Vihaan’s house again. Anirudh, as clueless as ever, asks why she’s so desperate to keep him away, as though her pleading tone didn’t make it obvious. Jhanak, in peak melodrama mode, says it’s her “request,” which, in TV logic, is code for “I’m hiding something big.” Anirudh, playing Sherlock Holmes, presses her, accusing her of being scared the past will come back to haunt her. Jhanak folds faster than a cheap chair and admits she doesn’t want her past to mess up her present. But hey, if she wanted peace, she’s in the wrong show.
Anirudh, never one to let go, tries to lecture her about honesty, because clearly, he’s a shining beacon of it. Jhanak claps back, saying he doesn’t understand her bond with Vihaan. Anirudh throws in a low blow, pointing out that Vihaan is still hung up on Avni. Jhanak shrugs it off like it’s yesterday’s news, declaring she doesn’t care. Anirudh, like a broken record, asks if his love means nothing to her. That’s when Jhanak reminds him of Arshi’s pregnancy, dropping the mic with, “That’s more than just a ‘truth.’” Ouch. Anirudh, refusing to read the room, insists fate will bring them together again, to which Jhanak delivers the ultimate burn: “I’ll pray we never meet again.”
Cue Vihaan, who conveniently shows up at the worst possible moment, catching the tail end of their conversation. Jhanak, in full panic mode, spins a story about delivering sweets and ghee, because apparently, that’s a thing now. Vihaan, clearly not buying it, questions why she seems to know Anirudh so well. Anirudh tries to jump in, but Jhanak flees the scene like her life depends on it. Vihaan, still suspicious, tells Anirudh he’ll be waiting downstairs. Oh, the drama.
Meanwhile, over at Choton and Bipasha’s corner of chaos, the two are in a heated argument over Mrinalini. Choton defends her, calling her a saint who only stayed silent out of respect for her father. Bipasha, however, drags her for filth, accusing her of failing Choton when it mattered. Anjana, ever the peacemaker, suggests Choton talk to Mrinalini, but he lashes out, accusing Anjana of wanting Mrinalini as a daughter-in-law just for her financial contributions. Ouch. Anjana is visibly offended, denying the claim, while Bipasha twists the knife by warning Choton that Mrinalini might become a dictator after marriage. Choton, in true dramatic fashion, storms off.
Elsewhere, Jhanak is teaching dance to Riddhi and Priyanshi in secret because dancing is apparently a crime under Ketki’s dictatorship. Mehek, the enabler, even brings ghungroos for Jhanak, who lights up with nostalgia about her dancing days. Priyanshi jokes about running away if Ketki forces her into marriage, which earns her a gentle scolding from Mehek, but not before Mehek promises to support her during the forbidden performance. What could possibly go wrong?
