Enter Sejal, who clearly has nothing better to do than play the neighborhood tattletale. She rushes to Ketki and spills the beans, complete with exaggerated horror about Jhanak daring to dance in their house while wearing ghungroos. Not one to miss a dramatic opportunity, Sejal adds fuel to the fire by claiming that even Vihaan saw Jhanak’s dance. Of course, because a woman dancing in her own room is practically a national scandal. 🙄
Ketki confronts Jhanak in her room mid-dance, her face twisted into a mix of outrage and judgment. Jhanak immediately stops, looking like a deer caught in headlights. Priyanshi tries to defend Jhanak, but Ketki isn’t having it. She demands answers, dragging Vihaan into the chaos. Mehek steps up to take the blame, saying she asked Jhanak to dance. Jhanak, the ever-honorable one, refuses to let Mehek take the fall and admits she danced on her own accord. Cue Ketki’s moral meltdown, accusing Jhanak of trying to turn her house into a kotha. As if things weren’t heated enough, Ketki demands to know who brought the ghungroos into the house. Mehek innocently reveals that Praveen Kumar brought them, which only gives Ketki more ammunition for her tirade. Meanwhile, Jhanak tries to defend the art of dancing, explaining that it’s a skill that deserves respect. Ketki’s response? Comparing her to a mujrawali. Jhanak rightfully snaps back, pointing out the blatant disrespect for artists, while Vihaan awkwardly tries to mediate. It’s all going downhill fast. 🥴
Elsewhere, Mrinalini’s father warns her against marrying Choton, claiming he’ll make her life miserable. Anjana, tired of the man’s negativity, asks him to think about Mrinalini’s happiness for once. He eventually gives in, but not before more unnecessary back-and-forth about khichdi and morning walks. Honestly, can someone give these people a chill pill? 🤷♀️
Back in the Ketki-Jhanak showdown, things escalate further. Ketki declares she’ll throw Jhanak out of the house if she dares challenge the holy house rules. Jhanak, determined to stand her ground, fires back that her identity as a dancer is important to her, and she won’t let anyone take it away. The argument takes a turn for the absurd when Sejal chimes in, claiming that family girls shouldn’t dance. Jhanak claps back, questioning what kind of mother Sejal is if she doesn’t let her daughter shine. Mic drop. 🎤
Just when you think it can’t get any more dramatic, Ahaan starts crying in another room. Ketki seizes the moment to label Jhanak as a careless mother for leaving her child unattended to dance. Vihaan, trying to placate Ketki, promises that Jhanak won’t dance in the house anymore. Jhanak looks absolutely betrayed and asserts that dancing brings her peace, and she’ll continue to dance—just in her room. Talk about a hollow victory for Ketki. 😤
