Kundan brings a new student to Neil, who wants to learn music. Madhu reassures Neil that more students will come, but Neil feels that just one student is a small beginning. She urges him to teach the student. Meanwhile, Saraswati asks Shlok to reveal the truth about his marriage with Apollena. She asks him to swear on her head that Mahadev didn’t force him into the marriage. Hesitant, Shlok doesn’t immediately answer, and Mahadev intervenes, confirming the truth about the marriage. He advises Saraswati to have a good day and move on, asking her to join him on an outing as he claims she will be happy.
Back at Neil’s place, Neil is struggling to teach his student, who shows a poor understanding of music. Despite Neil’s efforts, the student cannot pick up the tone, and Neil tells him to stop the lessons and quit the class. He suggests the student try something else since he doesn’t seem capable of learning music. Madhu asks Neil why he asked the student to quit, and Neil explains that he can immediately gauge someone’s ability and felt the student was not cut out for music. He also appreciates Madhu’s singing, admitting that he didn’t expect her to be so talented, and recalls that he became interested in music even before he was born.
Meanwhile, Shlok is packing Apollena’s things as she prepares to leave. He reflects on his feelings, admitting that although Apollena is not his love, he feels sad to see her go. Apollena shares similar feelings, realizing that she no longer has any connection with Shlok or the family. As Shlok is closing her suitcase, they share a lingering moment of eye contact. Apollena tells him that from now on, he won’t have to deal with her complaints, and he will no longer need to share his bed with her. Shlok remarks that she won’t need to clean his room or deal with his smelly socks anymore, and Apollena will be free from his presence.
Apollena informs Shlok that her cab has arrived, and they share an emotional hug, each stating they will miss the other. She then leaves the house.
Later, Apollena arrives at the hostel and learns that her room has been taken by someone else. The warden informs her that the dean likely reassigned the room after hearing about her marriage. Apollena tries to speak to the dean but is told that he’s busy welcoming a chief guest. She is shocked to see Mahadev and Saraswati at the event. Mahadev is discussing his donation for girls’ education, praising high achievers. Saraswati speaks highly of the family’s daughters-in-law and claims to prioritize education over traditional rituals.
The dean, unaware of Apollena’s predicament, calls her to the stage, announcing that she topped the UP board exams. He asks her to say a few words about her achievement.
Insight:
- Character Development – Neil and Madhu’s Relationship: The dynamics between Neil and Madhu continue to evolve. Neil’s realization of Madhu’s musical talent suggests a deepening of their bond. This contrast in their approaches highlights their individual personalities and sets the stage for future growth, both in their personal and professional lives.
- Shlok and Apollena’s Separation: Shlok and Apollena’s departure highlights a bittersweet moment. Although Shlok doesn’t love Apollena, his sadness at her departure hints at the complexity of their relationship. Both characters struggle with the emotional weight of their separation, indicating that their bond is deeper than mere obligation. Apollena, despite her difficult circumstances, shows resilience, but her heartache is palpable when she finds out about her reassigned room.
- Saraswati and Mahadev’s Influence: Saraswati and Mahadev’s influence in the story remains central, with Mahadev playing the role of a guiding figure, trying to steer people towards acceptance and balance. Saraswati’s constant attempts to bring out the truth reflect her nurturing nature and the strong maternal love she has, even though it sometimes conflicts with Mahadev’s more pragmatic approach.
