YRKKH 12th February 2025 Written Update. Today in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai written update, Abhira grows curious about Shivani’s past and questions her about it. The conversation triggers a flood of memories for Shivani, making her anxious. She recalls the painful past where Kaveri had vehemently refused to accept her marriage with Madhav. The weight of those memories unsettles Shivani in the present, making her visibly restless. RK notices her distress and asks Abhira what happened. Abhira explains that Shivani is overwhelmed by her past recollections and feeling uneasy. She sincerely apologizes to RK for the situation, but RK firmly asserts that the ones who should be apologizing are those responsible for Shivani’s misery. Determined to help, RK decides to take Shivani to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Pandit Ji reminds Armaan to perform a charitable act in memory of his mother, suggesting he feed the needy. This prompts Madhav to ask Armaan if he remembers his mother’s face. Armaan admits that his memories are hazy. Vidya happens to overhear this exchange and reassures Armaan that she does not feel threatened by his curiosity about his biological mother. She insists that she is not a villain who would feel jealous of someone who is no longer alive. Kaveri, however, is visibly shocked by Vidya’s statement.

Later, RK asks Abhira if she has had any interaction with Armaan. Abhira reveals that Armaan gets irritated just by seeing her. RK, in turn, shares that Armaan reacts the same way toward him. Recognizing their common ground, Abhira and RK conspire to expose Kaveri’s secrets. Their plan revolves around stealing Kaveri’s mobile to uncover incriminating evidence. RK pledges his full support to Abhira.

With their plan set in motion, Abhira visits Kaveri and slyly distracts her by asking for her opinion on an outfit. Meanwhile, RK disguises himself as a tailor to gain access to Kaveri’s mobile. While Abhira keeps Kaveri occupied, RK manages to unlock her phone and discovers a crucial detail—the blackmailer who has been pressuring Kaveri is scheduled to meet her soon. Kaveri eventually catches onto Abhira’s diversion tactics and gets furious with her.

Abhira and RK spring into action and successfully intercept the blackmailer. At the same time, Armaan coincidentally runs into Shivani at the hospital. Bittu informs Armaan that RK instructed him to stay at the hospital until he returns. This revelation makes Armaan realize that Abhira and RK are working together.

Meanwhile, Abhira and RK interrogate the blackmailer. Abhira takes a firm stand and decides to involve the police. She demands to know why he has been tormenting Kaveri. The blackmailer smirks and drops a shocking bombshell—he possesses crucial information about Armaan’s real mother. Determined to get answers, Abhira chases after the blackmailer. However, RK intervenes and urges Abhira to stop recklessly putting herself in danger for someone who doesn’t appreciate her. Soon after, Kajal and Charu come across Abhira. Kajal expresses her desire for Abhira and Armaan to reunite, which leaves RK visibly stunned.

Elsewhere, Armaan decides to personally escort Shivani back home. The episode concludes on a dramatic note.

Precap: Madhav implores Armaan to fight for his relationship. Meanwhile, Armaan is left utterly stunned upon discovering that RK has proposed to Abhira.

Analysis:

  1. The Overused ‘Shivani Remembers the Past’ Trope: Shivani’s backstory has been teased for so long that its revelation now feels repetitive. Every time she gets emotional, the same flashbacks of Kaveri’s disapproval play out. At this point, either give a solid backstory or move on!
  2. Abhira and RK’s Bond – Masterstroke or Forced? While it’s great to see Abhira having an ally in RK, their detective duo act sometimes feels like a desperate attempt to make RK more relevant in the plot. If Kaveri is such a mastermind, how is she getting outsmarted by a ‘tailor’ act?
  3. Armaan’s Memory Loss Drama: How convenient that Armaan barely remembers his mother! It seems like the writers are stretching his amnesia just to delay the big reveal. Maybe he needs a proper hypnosis session rather than vague emotional cues to trigger his memory.
  4. Kaveri’s Trust Issues: Kaveri might be the self-proclaimed queen of manipulation, but if she keeps letting people like Abhira and RK play mind games with her, she needs to reconsider her villain status.
  5. Blackmailer’s Confession – Too Predictable? A blackmailer conveniently revealing Armaan’s mother’s truth is just classic soap opera cliché. Maybe give him a more complex motive than just playing messenger!

Best Dialogue of the Episode:

“I am not a villain to get jealous of someone who is no more.” – Vidya’s savage response to Armaan was the highlight of the episode, subtly putting Kaveri in her place!
