Anupama 14th February 2025 Written Update. Today in Anupama written update, the episode begins with Hasmukh telling Khyati that they would have appreciated prior notice about the rituals. Khyati, however, explains that Vasundara made the decision just today and apologizes for the sudden arrangements. Anupama reassures Khyati that there is no need to apologize. Khyati informs them that Vasundara wants to commence the wedding rituals with a Lord’s prayer, signifying the sanctity of the occasion.
Rahi, eager to participate, volunteers to bring the Shah family along for the prayer, but Khyati immediately stops her. She reveals that Vasundara has forbidden the bride and groom from seeing each other before marriage, considering it inauspicious. This leaves Rahi disheartened. Leela, sensing Rahi’s disappointment, questions Khyati about whether Rahi would at least be allowed to join Prem on the wedding day. Anupama steps in, stopping the matter from escalating further. Meanwhile, Hasmukh takes responsibility for carrying the wedding essentials to the Kothari house.
Rahi’s disappointment is evident, and Ansh, being the teasing younger brother, pokes fun at her. However, Radha, understanding Rahi’s feelings, decides to help her by setting up a video call from the Kothari house so that Rahi can still witness the proceedings from afar. Meanwhile, at the Kothari mansion, Prem is selecting outfits for the ceremony. As he goes through the choices, he expresses his preference for a simple court marriage, indicating that he would have opted for a less extravagant affair if it had been entirely his decision. Vasundara, however, reminds him that while he has chosen the girl of his dreams, the wedding arrangements will still follow their traditions.
The Shah family arrives at the Kothari mansion, where Vasundara warmly welcomes them, commending them for their presence. However, when Jhanki arrives and greets Anupama, Vasundara quickly reminds her that staff members must enter through the back. This offends Anupama, who firmly declares that Jhanki is not just staff but family. Meanwhile, Prem, eagerly searching for Rahi, learns from Anupama that Rahi cannot join him in the veneration ceremony. This revelation disappoints Prem, who privately thinks that had he known about these restrictions earlier, he would have chosen a different venue for the event. His father, Parag, praises him, and Khyati compliments Prem by comparing his looks to Parag’s, highlighting their family resemblance.
Back at home, Rahi deeply misses Prem. To add to the tension, Vasundara decides to take control of the situation by confiscating everyone’s mobile phones, ensuring that no one disrupts the sanctity of the rituals. However, Radha, being mischievous, successfully video calls Rahi in secret, allowing her to see Prem from afar. As soon as Rahi sees Prem on the screen, she gets mesmerized, momentarily forgetting her disappointment.
As the rituals proceed, Vasundara instructs Hasmukh to wash Prem’s feet as per the tradition, especially since Anuj is not present to do it. This makes Prem uncomfortable, as he does not want Hasmukh, an elder, to touch his feet. However, Vasundara insists, saying that traditions cannot be broken. At this moment, Anupama steps forward, calling out the Kotharis for conveniently changing customs to suit themselves. She then takes a stand, deciding to perform the ritual in Hasmukh’s place. Parag, however, interjects, stating that the bride’s mother is traditionally not supposed to perform any rituals in her husband’s absence.
Seeing the growing tension, Ansh steps up and declares that as Rahi’s brother, he will perform the ritual in place of their absent father. The priest agrees, allowing Ansh to proceed. Ansh performs the ceremony, ensuring that the traditions are upheld. Meanwhile, Vasundara continues to impose her authority, scolding a staff member for wearing black, a color she deems inauspicious for the function. This sparks a new worry in Rahi’s mind—she suddenly realizes that Prem has chosen a black outfit, which might trigger Vasundara’s anger.
Only Hasmukh and Prem are aware of the outfit choice, but soon, Anupama and Ansh also learn about it. Anupama starts worrying about Vasundara’s inevitable reaction and wonders how to handle the situation. Meanwhile, the rituals continue as the priest asks Prem’s mother to perform the next part of the ceremony. Vasundara calls Meeta forward, but Prem surprises everyone by deciding to include Gayatri in the ritual as well. Since Gayatri is not physically present, he brings out her picture, ensuring her symbolic participation.
At the same time, Badshah and Radha engage in a game of hide and seek, their innocent playfulness contrasting with the intense wedding preparations. Radha eventually informs Prem that Rahi has been watching the entire ritual through a video call. This excites Prem, who lights up with joy at the thought of Rahi witnessing the proceedings, despite not being physically present.
Precap:
Rahi spots Badshah hiding in a truck and immediately senses trouble. Alarmed, she rushes toward the Kothari mansion, determined to save Badshah from any potential danger.
Insights – Anupama 14th February 2025 Episode:
- Vasundara’s Convenient Traditions: Vasundara is an expert at twisting traditions to her advantage. She strictly enforces customs when it suits her but bends them when it benefits her family. The hypocrisy is glaring—she insists on tradition when forcing Hasmukh to wash Prem’s feet but conveniently finds rules to prevent Anupama from stepping in.
- Prem’s Growing Realization: Prem’s patience is wearing thin. His casual remark about a court marriage wasn’t just a passing thought—it was a sign of how trapped he feels by all these forced customs. Every time he tries to make a choice, his family reminds him that his wedding isn’t really his wedding.
Review:
🔥 Vasundara’s Ego Knows No Bounds: If hypocrisy had a face, it would be Vasundara’s. She wants complete control over every aspect of the wedding, conveniently remembering traditions when it’s time to boss others around.
🔥 Prem’s Inner Conflict: At this point, Prem is probably wondering if eloping would have been a better option. Instead of enjoying his wedding, he’s stuck playing a puppet in a grand family show.
🔥 Vasundara’s Ban on Black: If Vasundara sees a crow fly over the venue, will she stop the wedding? The woman acts like the color black is a bad omen while completely ignoring the actual toxicity in the house.
🔥 Parag’s Random Praise: “Prem looks just like Parag”—was this really the time for such observations? Khyati, we get it, you’re here to flatter Parag, but let’s focus on the wedding, shall we?
Best Dialogue:
Prem to Vasundara: “If you had told me about all these rules earlier, I would have chosen a different place for these rituals.”
(🔥 A rare moment where Prem subtly expresses his frustration without openly defying Vasundara.)
Rating:
⭐ 3.5/5 – The drama is engaging, but Vasundara’s controlling nature is getting predictable. The highlight was Ansh stepping up to perform the ritual. Prem’s growing discomfort adds depth, but we need a stronger pushback against Vasundara’s dictatorship.
