YRKKH 27th February 2025 Written Update. Today in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai written update, Armaan performs the puja alongside Shivani and Abhira, much to Vidya’s shock. Of course, Vidya being Vidya, cannot digest a moment of peace in the house. She immediately starts taunting, claiming that no one can perform a puja in this house without drama. Well, she isn’t wrong because this family thrives on unnecessary conflicts. Just as Vidya begins her signature melodrama, Armaan steps in like the ever-righteous son, reminding her that God doesn’t differentiate between people. That’s a great thought, but let’s be real—Vidya isn’t in the mood for divine wisdom. Instead of appreciating his words, she stands there, fuming with her usual victim complex. Armaan, in his endless attempts to pacify her, requests Vidya to perform the puja herself.
Shivani, seizing the moment, acknowledges how difficult it is to raise someone else’s child and expresses her gratitude to Vidya. Just when it seems like a truce might be possible, Kaveri jumps in with her usual venom. According to her, Shivani is trying to take Vidya’s place, and she even goes as far as calling the situation inauspicious. Seriously, does Kaveri ever take a break from spewing negativity? Abhira, ever the voice of reason, reassures Vidya that Shivani has no such intentions. But Kaveri isn’t done yet. She is on a mission to poison Vidya’s mind further. Armaan, exhausted by the non-stop tug-of-war, pleads with Shivani and Vidya to resolve their differences once and for all.
But peace is a foreign concept in the Poddar household. Kaveri, feeling personally attacked (as if everything revolves around her), blames Shivani for disrupting the family. She taunts that Armaan naively believes Shivani and Vidya will reconcile and celebrate together. Abhira tries to talk sense into Vidya, urging her to see the bigger picture, but Vidya takes things up a notch. In a move that could rival any soap opera twist, she throws an ultimatum at Armaan—choose between her and Shivani. Wow. If emotional blackmail had a champion trophy, Vidya would take it home effortlessly. She declares that whoever Armaan picks will officially hold the title of Madhav’s wife, his mother, and the Poddar family’s daughter-in-law.
Armaan is stunned into silence. Because how does one even respond to such a ridiculous demand? He refuses to choose, caught in a moral dilemma that no one should be forced into. Shivani tries to intervene, but Abhira stops her, realizing that Vidya is playing her emotional card at full throttle. Vidya, on the other hand, is in no mood to back down. She insists that Armaan must decide, pushing him further into a corner. Abhira tries to knock some sense into her, but Vidya flips the situation on her, dragging Daksh into the conversation. She asks Abhira if she would have been able to return Daksh after raising him, forcing her to empathize with her plight. Now that’s low—even for Vidya.
Armaan finally speaks up, questioning why Vidya is dragging Abhira into this mess. But Vidya has an answer ready—he is taking too long to decide. With a final blow, she gives him one day to make his choice, leaving Armaan in absolute shock. As if on cue, Kaveri jumps in to add more fuel to the fire, taunting Armaan mercilessly. At this point, it’s unclear whether she enjoys seeing him suffer or if meddling in family matters is her full-time hobby.
Meanwhile, Ruhi and Rohit have their own share of shock when they meet Kiara. Kiara, ever so nonchalantly, expresses her desire to meet the Poddars, but Ruhi and Rohit are left reeling after discovering that Abhira had prevented her from doing so. On the other side of the house, Shivani accidentally bumps into Madhav. Vidya tries to intervene in her typical overbearing fashion, but Kaveri puts a stop to it. Honestly, does Kaveri just have a remote control to manipulate every situation in her favor?
Later, Shivani apologizes to Madhav for entering his room by mistake. Vidya takes this moment to confront Kaveri about stopping her earlier, but Kaveri, as usual, deflects. She questions Vidya’s decision to involve Abhira and even claims that Abhira will never take Vidya’s side. Vidya, for once, admits her failure—she tried to separate Armaan and Abhira but couldn’t succeed. That’s an unexpected confession, but it doesn’t make her any less manipulative.

Shivani, trying to be the bigger person, pleads with both Vidya and Kaveri not to break Armaan and Abhira apart. She states her wish to stay with Armaan, but Kaveri, ever the master of mind games, takes this opportunity to manipulate her. She warns Shivani that if she chooses to stay in the Poddar house, she will end up losing both Armaan and Abhira. The manipulation is so blatant that even Abhira, overhearing the conversation, is left shocked. She finally realizes that Kaveri is actively brainwashing Shivani, ensuring that the family stays in perpetual chaos.
Insights:
This episode perfectly encapsulates the Poddar family’s never-ending obsession with drama. Vidya’s ultimatum was the peak of emotional blackmail, proving once again that she knows how to play the victim while simultaneously holding all the power. Armaan, poor soul, is always stuck between being the ideal son and the peacemaker, but this time, he has been thrown into an impossible situation. Kaveri remains the undisputed queen of manipulation, stirring trouble wherever she goes. Abhira, on the other hand, is the only one making sense, but unfortunately, her words often fall on deaf ears.
Review:
The episode had its moments of intense drama, but the level of emotional manipulation was downright exhausting. Vidya’s demands were frustrating, Kaveri’s constant interference was unbearable, and Armaan’s helplessness made the situation even more suffocating. Shivani’s character remains the weakest link—she wants to be accepted, but at what cost? The show needs to move past this never-ending cycle of ultimatums and actually focus on character growth. The only silver lining was Abhira’s clarity and understanding of the bigger picture.
Best Dialogue:
“God doesn’t differentiate.” – Armaan
(Too bad the Poddars don’t live by this principle.)
YRKKH 27th February 2025 Written Update Rating:
🌟🌟🌟 (3/5)
The drama was high, but the repetitive emotional manipulation dragged the episode down.
