YRKKH 22nd March 2025 Written Update: Surrogacy twists. Today in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai written update, the episode begins with Abhira thanking Ruhi and Rohit for their support. Just as she is about to reveal that Armaan is against surrogacy, Armaan dramatically changes gears and announces his sudden approval. Abhira stands stunned, while Rohit comments that it almost seemed like Abhira was ready to back out. Ruhi eagerly decides to sign the surrogacy contract, while Abhira silently questions why Armaan made such a drastic decision. The plot thickens!
The contract, of course, conveniently goes missing. Armaan, always the philosophical one, wonders if it’s a divine sign warning them of complications. But Ruhi and Rohit, with the optimism of people who’ve never watched this show before, brush it off and cheer Armaan on. Abhira, still suspicious, asks Armaan why he agreed to something he clearly has doubts about. Armaan, in classic self-sacrificing hero fashion, mumbles about not wanting to see her upset. Ah, because nothing screams problem-solving like reluctant surrogacy.
After an agonizing search, the agreement miraculously resurfaces. With a mix of apprehension and determination, Abhira, Armaan, and Ruhi sign it. Ruhi excitedly tells Abhira to prepare for their future baby, while Armaan and Abhira feign gratitude, mentally bracing for the inevitable chaos.
Meanwhile, Sanjay sniffs around Rohit’s business like a budget detective. He stumbles upon a mysterious file related to Rohit, Ruhi, Armaan, and Abhira. Just as he is about to indulge his inner Sherlock Holmes, Rohit swoops in and gives him a well-deserved scolding. Still bitter and determined, Sanjay reports his suspicions to Kaveri, claiming that the four are plotting something monumental. But Kaveri, in her usual denial mode, refuses to believe him. Watching Sanjay flail for relevance is almost as entertaining as the actual plot.
Abhira later informs Ruhi about their upcoming IVF appointment, asking Ruhi if she is absolutely certain about this. Ruhi and Rohit, the reigning champions of misplaced confidence, assure them that everything will be just fine. Rohit beams with pride over Ruhi’s decision, conveniently ignoring the giant cloud of impending drama hovering above.
Adding a dash of awkwardness, Shivani whips up some gulab jamun and shares it with Armaan and Abhira. However, Armaan takes the opportunity to reminisce about Vidya, making Shivani visibly uncomfortable. Way to kill the sugar rush, Armaan. Abhira senses the emotional tension and warns Armaan to tread carefully, clearly aware that his nostalgia is just another ingredient in their already simmering drama pot.
Not one to miss a meddling opportunity, Kaveri grows increasingly suspicious and whisks Ruhi away under the guise of distraction. Meanwhile, Abhira, Armaan, and Rohit wait at the hospital. Ruhi predictably fabricates an excuse and rushes over to join them. Abhira, ever the voice of reason, asks Ruhi once more if she’s genuinely ready for this. Ruhi, channeling peak main-character energy, reassures her yet again.
Feeling nostalgic and conflicted, Abhira dials up Anupama for a pep talk. Anupama, in true maternal mode, urges Abhira to stay positive and focus on the brighter side. Abhira’s renewed resolve kicks in, and she mentally prepares to brave whatever lies ahead. Anupama might just deserve an honorary therapist title at this point.
The episode wraps with a tension-filled precap. Swarna confronts Abhira, bluntly asking if Ruhi is her surrogate. Abhira, incapable of dodging the inevitable, admits the truth. Swarna wastes no time reminding her that Ruhi once tried to sabotage her relationship with Armaan. With the emotional intensity of a soap opera season finale, Swarna declares that Abhira has made the biggest mistake of her life. Honestly, Swarna’s clairvoyance deserves its own spin-off series.
