Jhanak 9th April 2025 Written Update: New Wedding Promo
The episode kicks off in the hospital, where the doctor calmly announces that Arshi is out of danger and doesn’t need life support. The junior doctor, who apparently just discovered how to read reports, adds that the sleeping pills weren’t even that strong. So basically, Arshi went for drama over damage. The doctor says they’ll just wait for her to wake up, like it’s a regular Sunday morning hangover.
Over on the other side, Tanuja is in panic mode and asks Shubh if the police might come after them too. Shubh, ever the chilled-out dad, brushes it off like, “Why would they arrest us? We’re not in a crime thriller.” He even says Anirudh won’t get into trouble. According to him, the blame game has one clear target—Jhanak. Because of course, when in doubt, dump everything on the girl who’s already juggling everyone’s emotional mess.
Meanwhile, Siddharth waltzes in like a knight with issues and confronts Vinayak. He questions why Arshi is still being allowed to stay at the Bose mansion. He points out—very dramatically—that Arshi is head-over-heels for Anirudh, while Anirudh is busy orbiting Planet Jhanak. So why, he asks, should poor Arshi stay in a house where heartbreak is being served for breakfast? Valid point. Over-delivered.
Anjana, sweet as ever, mentions she needs to give medicine to Dadi and Amitabh. Lalon, like a loyal Uber driver, says he’ll drop her home. They head off. Anirudh then turns to Choton and asks if he really comes off as the villain Siddharth made him out to be. Choton reassures him—“Nah bro, you’re just a confused mess, not evil.” Anirudh vents, saying he was never ready to marry Arshi. He’s wondering out loud why she created this full-blown soap opera if she didn’t even love him. Mrinalini, never one to miss a moment to roast, calls Arshi ego-driven and unable to digest the fact that Anirudh picked Jhanak over her. She adds, quite firmly, that it’s only Jhanak who loves him genuinely.
Just then, the doctor reappears like the voice of reason and confirms that Arshi is safe but needs rest. She asks who’s staying with her and slyly suggests Anirudh, setting up the awkward tension like a pro.
Cut to: Shrishti spots Siddharth with a bouquet and instantly starts matchmaking. She tells him Arshi loves flowers and will be thrilled to see him. She walks into the room, throws a hug at Arshi, and plays PR for Siddharth. Siddharth walks in, does the polite thing, and hands over the flowers. Arshi thanks him. Shrishti, never one to hold back, asks Arshi if she even considered Siddharth before pulling that suicide stunt. Arshi, obviously embarrassed, asks her to quit making a scene. Shrishti takes the hint and steps out.
Siddharth then asks Arshi if she’s okay. He says he was legit worried about her. Arshi apologizes, but Siddharth—ever the emotional sponge—says it’s obvious she’s still hung up on Anirudh. Arshi, flipping the script now, insists she doesn’t love Anirudh anymore. Siddharth is like, “Girl, please,” but stays quiet.
Elsewhere, Shubh gives Anirudh a reality check, telling him this is his last chance to fix things before the whole family turns into a full-time courtroom drama. Vinayak admits he’s clueless about what’s going on. Shrishti asks for a word with Anirudh, and oh boy, does she bring the thunder. She threatens to ruin his life without blinking, and just to make sure her point lands, she says that if he falls, Jhanak goes down with him. Then she walks away like a villain in a climax scene.
Back in the hospital room, Arshi gets all soft and holds Siddharth’s hand. She tells him she loves him now, not Anirudh. Anirudh, who walks in at exactly the wrong moment (or right, depending on your drama tolerance), hears the whole thing and just walks out like a ghost with a broken heart.
He heads to Jhanak and tells her this is the beginning of a new chapter. Jhanak’s antenna immediately goes up—something’s clearly off. She asks about Arshi, and Anirudh casually says she’s fine and confessed her feelings to Siddharth. He even says he’s happy about it. Yep, the guy’s doing a full 180. She asks if it hurts. He says no, because now he’s “free.” And then—this guy—grabs her hand like it’s some K-drama proposal.
Jhanak, not having it, asks him to calm down and not expect too much. Anirudh promises not to pressure her. He’s just vibing with this “something good is coming” feeling. Jhanak, the realist of the show, says she doesn’t feel the same. Honestly, someone needs to frame her patience.
Anirudh says Arshi will be discharged tomorrow, and he’ll ask her to move in with Siddharth. When Jhanak asks if he’s skipping the hospital visit, he shrugs it off and says he’ll meet her at home. He then blurts out he wants to live with Jhanak like a proper husband. Jhanak pulls the brakes hard and tells him not to talk like that. Anirudh, playing the victim card, says he deserves to be happy too. He asks if she’ll stay with him. Jhanak replies that if Arshi lets him go willingly, she will. And before she can finish, he hugs her like he just won the emotional lottery.
The next morning, Anjana checks on Arshi. Arshi wastes no time and asks for Anirudh. Dadi tells her to relax and rest. But Arshi’s like, “How can I rest when the man I was supposed to marry is busy playing house with Jhanak?” She flat-out refuses to live as a daughter-in-law in the Bose house while Anirudh is having his live-in fairytale. Mrinalini tries to cool her down, saying Anirudh knows how to behave and won’t shame the family.
