As Tejaswini and Neil kick off their post-wedding rituals, emotions run high when Rituraj unexpectedly stirs feelings in Leena. Meanwhile, Neil wins hearts by assuring Tejaswini that marriage won’t stand in the way of her dreams—earning him the title of husband of the year (for now).
Neil and Teju come for the post-wedding rituals. Neil is mesmerized seeing his ladylove. Teju looks stunning in a simple look. She receives compliments from the family. Rituraj taunts Teju that Leena is still upset and she has locked herself in her room. Kaki asks Teju not to care for Rituraj’s words. She says that Leena will eventually accept Teju. Neil and Teju sit for the rasam. Leena arrives and scolds Neil for not waiting for her. Neil says that he was waiting for her and thinking of coming to call her.
She asks him not to lie. Rituraj further provokes her. Leena blames her upbringing that Neil has forgotten her. Nandini asks her not to hold any anger and be a part of the celebration. Leena feels Neil is getting destroyed, and she can’t witness it. Rituraj says that she can’t help it either. Teju tells Leena that Neil has married by his wish. She clarifies that she wasn’t ready for the marriage, but she had to do it for her family’s sake. She expresses her helplessness. Leena calls it a drama and reprimands Teju.
Teju gets upset. Leena argues with the family members, who support Teju. Neil and Teju perform the ritual. Rituraj and Leena aren’t happy to see them. Neil and Teju have a Haldi moment. Neil feels shy. The family pours water on Neil and Teju while making them stand together, close, and holding hands. Neil smiles and feels love for Teju. A romantic song plays in the background.
Neil tells Teju that they won’t do the rasam if she isn’t comfortable. Rituraj calls it a game instead of a ritual. Amrita explains to him about the ritual. Everyone insists Neil and Teju perform the rasam. Neil has to eat the coconut and feed the coconut to Teju. The cousins tease Neil and Teju while they complete the rasam. Rituraj feels disgusted watching them. He wants Teju to pay a price for betraying his love. Neil gives the saree and adornments to Teju, with a promise to keep his responsibility toward her.
Neil promises Teju that he will keep her happy and take away all her sorrows. Neil tells her that it’s his responsibility to fulfill all her needs. Rituraj tells Neil that he has to talk about emotions too. He asks Neil if Teju has feelings for him. He questions Teju. Teju gets angered. Rituraj tells them that Teju hasn’t made a career yet. She taunts that girls have multiple boyfriends before they settle down. Neil says that even boys have multiple girlfriends. He answers Rituraj. He defends Teju.
Rituraj is speechless. He wants Neil to get betrayed by Teju. He insults Teju in anger. Everyone blesses Teju. Leena orders Teju to touch Neil’s feet and take his blessings. Teju gets compelled to touch Neil’s feet. Neil blesses Teju. He gives a noble blessing, despite facing numerous taunts from Leena. Neil blesses Tejaswini to complete her every dream. He doesn’t want the marriage to block her aspirations.
Rituraj reminds them that Neil and Teju can’t share the same room before the completion of all the rituals. Neil asks Teju to sleep in his room. In the next episode, Neil overhears Teju and Rituraj’s words and learns about their relationship. He feels shattered and weeps. Rituraj swears to ruin her budding dreams. They spot Neil at the door and are left stunned.
