YRKKH 26th April 2025 Written Update: Divorce Drama. Today in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai written update, the episode kicks off with Abhira taking charge of Kaveri’s birthday prep like a one-woman army. Ruhi, bless her confused soul, offers to help — but Abhira nicely tells her to just sit and “give company,” aka stay out of the kitchen disaster. Swarna, who has made worrying into an art form, updates everyone that Kiara’s still running a fever. Abhir, ever the innocent boy caught in the adult mess, is asked to babysit Kiara and squeeze in a heart-to-heart with Manish. Because why not burden a kid with adult problems, right?
Abhir sweetly asks Kiara if she’s sick because of the divorce talks. Kiara, sticking to her guns, says she’s NOT divorcing Abhir. Drama, table for two.
Back at birthday central, Ruhi tries to pry into Armaan-related matters. Abhira debates telling her about the Abhir-Kiara-Charu circus but recalls Armaan’s classic “no-sharing-secrets” command. So she zips it and changes the topic, deciding instead to cut some dragon fruit — because true love clearly involves tackling the world’s most annoying fruit. Ruhi, whose understanding of love is clearly different, questions why so much effort over a fruit. Abhira blushes and says she loves Armaan. Ruhi watches Abhira being all hearts and rainbows, while she internally fights her own jealousy storm.
The scene flips to Kaveri’s birthday. Abhira wishes her, and Kaveri instantly looks around like a hawk for the whole family. Abhira, like a pro, distracts her — throwing some shade about how Kaveri needs to chill and stop trying to control every breathing family member. Not that Kaveri listens, but at least Abhira tried.
Kaveri eventually catches the vibe that the family is planning a surprise party for her. She starts with her usual melodramatic questions about why all this was even necessary. Manish, the poor guy, tries to act like he had no hand in it — classic ‘I was dragged into this’ energy.
Family members gather, looking half excited, half tired, and Abhira leads Kaveri toward the cake.
Of course, Kaveri being Kaveri, suddenly starts missing Rohit mid-party. Vidya cleverly pushes her toward Armaan, hinting he’s their Rohit now. Kaveri grumbles that Armaan won’t eat cake, but he surprises everyone by actually eating it. Character development or just exhaustion? Who knows.
Armaan, the brooding elder brother, later tells Abhira to babysit Abhir and Charu so that their mini love triangle doesn’t create fresh disasters.
The Poddars launch into a full-blown dance party. Armaan and Abhira have a sweet, smiley dance moment until Ruhi slides into their frame. Armaan, in a mood that can only be described as “done with everyone’s nonsense,” stops Ruhi and lectures her about responsibility. Ruhi, who came for the love story but got hit with a reality check instead, ends up sulking.
Abhira, still trying to be the good daughter-in-law, serves drinks to the guests while Armaan deals with Daksh’s drama.
Abhir, meanwhile, spots Ruhi looking like she just lost the Miss India crown. Charu grabs Abhir for a chat, and Abhira tries to awkwardly console Ruhi, who probably needed a therapist more than a glass of water.
Charu finds out Abhir’s in double trouble — ghosted by Kiara and stuck in Charu’s storyline too. Krish, Kajal, and Swarna gather like gossip aunties and pin the blame on Abhir for playing with two hearts, while Swarna also throws some serious shade at Charu for breaking up Kiara’s already fragile marriage.

Armaan pulls out his classic angry husband card, blaming Abhira for not managing the situation. Abhira tries her best to defend herself, but Armaan shuts her down, making it very clear he’s not in the mood for explanations. Translation: It’s going to get messier.
