Jhanak 9th May 2025 Written Update: Anirudh’s Arrival. Today in Jhanak written update, the episode kicks off with Arshi, once again, playing the queen of emotional blackmail. She tells Anirudh she gets anxious every time he sets foot in a shady location. Anirudh reminds her that she too hops around with her dance troupe, but he’s never made a fuss. Arshi, with her usual flair for drama, says she’s never been to a village—so clearly, she deserves a medal for being cautious. She insists Anirudh return safely, unaware he’s more preoccupied with thoughts of Jhanak than with her safety sermons.
Anirudh’s internal monologue is clear: “I’ve got to find Jhanak.” Arshi, shifting gears, says she’s worried about Vinayak. Anirudh reveals he did try to get Vinayak to stay, but the man pulled a classic “thanks but no thanks.”
Then comes the Arshi-Jhanak blame game. Arshi throws shade at Jhanak, claiming their life magically improved the second she vanished—as if Jhanak’s absence built their new house and polished Anirudh’s career. Anirudh, clearly tired of Arshi’s selective memory, brings up Siddharth. Arshi wants to bury that topic instantly. But Anirudh isn’t done. He questions why Arshi forgave Siddharth after betrayal but never gave Jhanak a break, even though she was innocent. Arshi shoots back that Jhanak’s probably living with someone by now. Anirudh ends the useless chat and storms out, focused on the bigger picture.
Lalon is in full shaadi-planner mode, asking Dadi for the guest list. Dadi, never forgetting who ghosted them during hard times, says it’s fine if some people get “accidentally” missed. Lalon wants to be the bigger person and invite all. Appu agrees—because it’s Jhimli’s wedding, and there’s no room for grudges. Then Appu scolds Kajol for not sticking around. Kajol, ever loyal to her basti roots, refuses to leave. Jhimli defends Kajol, and Appu softens, admitting Kajol is her favourite. Kajol’s happy Jhimli found a good guy and reminds her to never ditch her job—because independence beats everything. Jhimli, owning her past, says her job gives her confidence.
Kajol praises Appu for turning their lives around. Dadi agrees, calling Appu their Lakshmi, though society couldn’t be bothered to appreciate her. Appu shrugs off society’s judgment, saying she misses Jhanak more. Jhimli is sure they’ll cross paths again. Meanwhile, Appu complains of a headache. Kajol gets concerned, but Appu insists she’s fine. Everyone pushes her to go to the hospital, but Appu channels her inner superhero and says she’ll live forever.
Dadi shifts her worrying gaze to Jhimli’s rich in-laws. Kajol reassures her it’ll be fine. Appu makes Jhimli promise to visit every weekend after marriage. Kajol says they’ll drag Appu to the hospital once the wedding dust settles. Appu agrees. She hands Kajol some jewels, and Lalon drops the surprise: Appu even bought a jewel set for Kajol. Kajol resists, but Appu insists they shine together.
Over at Simulboni, Anirudh and Dheeraj arrive, chatting about land and locals. Veer sees them and runs to Parashar like a local informant on a mission. Kanka, itching for drama, says she’ll deal with the city folks. Parashar decides to first investigate what they’re up to.
Parashar and the villagers confront Anirudh, who calmly says they’ve got government approval to build a factory. He throws in some sugar-coating—schools, hospitals, and payment offers. But the villagers aren’t impressed. Parashar says their farming life is enough. Anirudh points out it’s government land and tells them to think of their children’s future. The villagers’ collective reaction? Absolute rage.
Things escalate. Parashar orders a beatdown. Anirudh’s about to face a full-blown Simulboni riot until a familiar voice—Nutan—yells stop. Anirudh turns around and BAM—his eyes land on Jhanak.
