Jhanak 11th June 2025 Written Update: Jhanak-Rishi Clash

Jhanak Takes a Bold Leap: Riya Sharma & Arjit Taneja Step Into New Avatars Post 20-Year Jump

Jhanak Takes a Bold Leap: Riya Sharma & Arjit Taneja Step Into New Avatars Post 20-Year Jump. The popular television show Jhanak has officially taken a dramatic 20-year leap, ushering in a completely new era of storytelling with fresh faces, fresh conflicts, and a new emotional landscape. Leading this reinvention are celebrated TV stars Riya Sharma and Arjit Taneja, who have taken over the reins from former leads Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja.

While the core plot post-leap is being kept tightly under wraps, the newly dropped promo offers a spicy glimpse into what’s brewing. Riya, who now plays the new Jhanak, is shown crossing paths with a police officer — played by Arjit. Their first meeting is anything but romantic: a clash involving a bicycle and a police bike turns into a fiery standoff. When Arjit’s character offers money as an apology, Jhanak fiercely refuses and even threatens to file a complaint against him. This sets the tone for a feisty, slow-burn chemistry that seems ready to explode.

The leap also marks the exit of Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja, who portrayed the original Jhanak and Anirudh. According to sources, Hiba decided to step away due to the aging required for her character, which she didn’t feel aligned with her current career goals. Interestingly, this leap had been in the pipeline for months but was postponed earlier due to scheduling complications.

Despite the delay, the show’s consistent TRP made the makers take the leap — literally. With Arjit’s intense persona and Riya’s empowered portrayal, the show is aiming for a reboot that still holds onto its emotional roots.

The big question now? Will this leap revitalize Jhanak and reignite audience interest. Only time — and TRPs — will tell. But for now, Jhanak has definitely pedaled into a storm worth watching. Watch the latest promo below.
