Kumkum Bhagya 8th June 2025 Written Update: Emotional U-Turn. Today in Kumkum Bhagya Twist: Prathana Forgives Shivansh, Chooses Him Over Raunak. Zee TV’s long-running drama Kumkum Bhagya is delivering yet another rollercoaster of emotions, betrayal, and unexpected bonds — and this time, it’s Prathana’s heart that’s doing all the talking.
In a shocking turn of events, Prathana (played by Pranali Rathod) finds herself drawn towards Shivansh (Namik Paul), the very man who once deceived her at the altar. Viewers will remember the infamous wedding twist — where Shivansh took Raunak’s place behind the sehra and married Prathana by deceit. That betrayal was supposed to be unforgivable. And yet… here we are.
It all begins with a haunting memory — Shivansh saving Prathana from a group of goons one terrifying night. That one heroic act seems to have wiped out the mountain of lies and manipulation. In her heart, she now feels he fulfilled the duty of a husband, and in response, she has taken it upon herself to fulfill the role of a wife — by guiding him toward the right path.

Prarthna shows her understanding of Shivansh. He asks her not to try to judge and understand him. He doesn’t want her to sprinkle salt on his wounds. He knows he is doing the right thing. He thinks of Smita leaving him. He turns emotional and looks at Prarthna with hopes. Prarthna runs to him and embraces him. He holds her with affection. She asks him to leave hatred. He comes back to the reality and walks away. She follows him to convince him. Bua Maa sees Prarthna.
Prarthna asks Bua Maa to speak to Shivansh and stop him from taking the wrong step. Bua Maa asks her to stop it and just support Shivansh. She tells that she can do whatever she wants if she is with Raunak. Shivansh drives off in anger and tells that he isn’t jealous of Raunak. Raunak is also on the way and gets angry thinking of Shivansh holding Raunak’s hand. They are upset about Prarthna’s behavior. Raunak tells that Shivansh can’t touch Prarthna. Shivansh gets affected by Prarthna’s memories.
He doesn’t want to miss her. He tells that his marriage is namesake. Raunak knows the same and tells that Shivansh shouldn’t make it an issue if his marriage is namesake. He has no regrets about entering Prarthna’s bedroom. Raunak and Shivansh have a clash when they were close to hitting each other’s cars. They get on the roads and argue in a way to insult each other.
Shivansh tells that Raunak has no house and he is now homeless. Raunak asks him to shut up. Shivansh belittles him. Raunak tells that time will show the truth, and Shivansh can’t write his fate. He angrily raises his hand. Shivansh asks him not to anger him. Raunak and Shivansh challenge each other and keep their stand as Prarthna’s lover and husband, respectively. They get into a fight. Shivansh asks him to go and save his house if he can. Raunak says that Shivansh can’t snatch his house and Prarthna. Shivansh leaves.
Ketki comes home and shares the good news with Payal. She says that Shivansh is ousting the Zaveri family, and Smita will be leaving her house. She wants Smita’s pride to break. She tells that she would have bought Zaveri house if she knew about the mortgage. She states Shivansh’s ultimatum to Smita. Bua Maa goes to Prarthna and asks her what is she doing in the kitchen.
Prarthna tells that she wants to cook food for the family. Bua Maa tells that she can ask the servants to cook the food. Prarthna tells that she isn’t a guest. Bua Maa reminds her that Prarthna is a guest and she is with them for a short period, Shivansh married her by deception, and Prarthna has to leave soon. She says that Shivansh is determined to leave her; she fell into trouble that night, and he got her home for the sake of humanity. She asks Prarthna not to have any bonding with them.
She wants Prarthna to just remain a guest. Prarthna recollects Preeta’s words about a husband and a wife’s relationship. She doesn’t want to listen to Bua Maa’s commands. She just wants Shivansh to decide about their marriage. Ketki tells Payal that Shivansh will throw out the Zaveri family, and then they will become homeless. She laughs at their plight. Payal asks Ketki not to get happy, as she is going to marry Raunak soon. She doesn’t want to give up so soon.
She says that Smita talks to her on the call, she likes her, and she acts otherwise in front of others. Ketki asks her to make an entry in the Zaveri family, become a part of their sorrow, and impress them. Payal agrees. Shivansh vents out his pain and speaks to his dad while looking at the sky. He says that he wants to take his revenge on Smita, he wants to see Zaveris on the road, and hurt Smita. He wonders why his heart is not happy. He vows revenge on Smita.
Prarthna waits for Shivansh. He returns home. He finds her awake. She asks him if he will have food. He asks if she really cares for him. He says that he has no reason to trust her. He asks why she isn’t angry with him after all that happened between them. She says that he can’t move on if he doesn’t let go of his past. He stops her from her non-stop lecture. He asks her to go and sleep. She goes to sleep.
