The episode begins with Preeta, now working as a cook under the name Priya Saluja, carefully reading the kitchen rules before preparing food for her once-beloved Karan. She’s supposed to make just pasta, but Preeta—being Preeta—pours her heart into the meal and prepares multiple dishes, including her signature laddoos.
At Karan’s office, the manager informs him that there’s no information available about this mysterious “Priya Saluja.” Karan, curious but composed, tells him to order lunch. When the manager says it’ll be cooked by the new hire, Karan—ever the perfectionist—snaps and tells him to just get it done.
Back in the kitchen, someone warns Preeta that Karan won’t be pleased when he sees a meal that strays from the menu. But the tiffin reaches Karan, and as fate would have it, the food wins over the manager instantly.
Karan, skeptical at first, refuses to eat. He tells the manager that he only eats laddoos made by his wife. But hunger gets the best of him. He tries the hotel food and finds it inedibly spicy. Then, almost unwillingly, he reaches for the laddoos—and that’s when time seems to stop.
