Trouble mounts for Saru as yet another trap is laid by Kamini and Anika’s mom, this time endangering Dadu’s life. The episode unfolds with a sense of looming danger, as Dadu helplessly watches Kamini pour a strange chemical into his massage oil — a concoction meant to cause him unbearable pain.
Kamini, aware of Dadu’s paralysis, mocks his helplessness. She taunts him that she’s going to massage his legs with the same oil that will soon make him suffer beyond words. Anika stands there, silently complicit, unsure of what Kamini is up to but not bold enough to stop her. Kamini even mocks Dadu for letting an outsider like Saru call him “Dadusa” so affectionately.
As planned, Saru returns after finishing her chores and begins Dadu’s massage, unaware of the trap laid for her. She notices the oil is unusually warm and wonders about it, but continues the massage with her innocent faith that everything will be alright. Moments later, Dadu starts writhing in pain. Saru panics when she sees red rashes forming on his feet.
A doctor is urgently summoned. Saru is confused and heartbroken. Anika’s mother and Kamini don’t lose a moment before blaming Saru. They accuse her of mixing harmful chemicals in the oil and deliberately hurting Dadu. Kamini plays her part well, acting concerned while slyly feeding lies to the family. Dadi is devastated and begins doubting her trust in Saru. The doctor confirms that a chemical mixed in the oil caused the burns and that while Dadu will recover in a few days, it was indeed a dangerous act.
Kamini seizes the moment. She manipulates Dadi into believing Saru is not trustworthy and that the responsibility of taking care of Dadu was given to the wrong person. Dadi, disheartened, breaks down and eventually asks Saru to leave. Dadu, tragically, knows the truth but is unable to speak or move — his silence protects the guilty and punishes the innocent.
Saru with tears in her eyes, silently walks away from the house and attends her class despite being heartbroken. Ved notices she isn’t writing anything and questions her coldness. Saru stays quiet, trying to hide her pain. Phulla reveals that Saru’s hands are burnt. Ved is taken aback. He scolds Saru for not speaking up and gently tends to her burns. The quiet care and concern in his eyes reveal that he sees the truth Saru won’t speak.
Meanwhile, Anika mocks Saru once again, calling her an illiterate village girl and accusing her of constantly seeking sympathy through drama.
