Rishabh’s Oscar-Worthy Husband Act: Gifts, Horror Shows, and Nosy Neighbours

We open with Bhagyashree’s shock face as she sees her entire family standing at her doorstep, courtesy of Rishabh’s grand surprise. She barely manages a greeting when Padma swoons over her arrival, and Sowmya immediately sniffs drama, asking why Bhagyashree looks so tense. Before our girl can explain, Rishabh swoops in with his quick-thinking heroism, saying Bhagyashree just wants to welcome them properly, and drags her aside.

Privately, Bhagyashree demands how he entered without a key. Rishabh, forever the comedian, jokes he’s mastered the art of breaking into his own house — it’s “essential training when the owner locks you out.” Sir, you’re an actor, not a thief, calm down. He asks her to relax and focus on greeting her family.

Back in the living room, the family is busy with gift unboxing. Akshat is overjoyed with his video game, while Ishana finds a bracelet and immediately assumes daddy sent it, proving again that kids live in a dream world where dads are always rich and thoughtful. But Akshat, with his reading skills working overtime today, announces the gifts are from Kapil. Ishana’s smile dies faster than Rishabh’s dignity during his fake husband act. She throws the bracelet aside, demanding to know why Kapil sent such expensive gifts. Mangal (eternally clueless scapegoat) insists she doesn’t know, but Ishana storms off dramatically, dragging Akshat along.

He pulls out a wedding invitation card for Kapil and Mangal’s engagement, reading it aloud like he’s announcing exam results. Mangal stands frozen while Kusum’s heart breaks into a thousand pieces.

Kusum collapses on the sofa, devastated that Mangal never told her. Adit screams that Mangal is a liar, while Sowmya lurks in the background smirking like a villain in a Hindi dubbed Turkish serial.

Switch scenes to Rishabh’s apartment, where things are equally messy but at least more entertaining. Rishabh suggests Padma sleep with Bhagyashree so they can spend time together, and he’ll sleep with Vinay. Padma agrees, and Bhagyashree ends up crying in her mother’s lap, worried that her father will never accept her fake marriage.

Rishabh, meanwhile, turns on a horror show to sleep peacefully — because what’s more comforting than ghosts screeching on TV? Vinay wakes up terrified at 3 AM, screaming when Rishabh’s hand touches him accidentally. The two share the most awkward bonding moment ever before Rishabh turns off the TV and tries to sleep again. But Vinay starts snoring like a tractor, forcing Rishabh to step out.

He finds Bhagyashree in the kitchen. They share a sweet moment where Bhagyashree confesses guilt about lying to her parents. Rishabh, with his endless calm, reminds her that her parents are happy seeing her happy, so she should smile for their sake. Their chai-sharing moment would’ve been romantic if not for the knowledge that it’s all a performance.

Morning arrives with Rishabh serving breakfast like Masterchef Husband of the Year. Padma praises his cooking skills while Karthik mentions the payasam is their dad’s favourite. Rishabh casually reveals he learned to make it from Bhagyashree. Vinay stops Rishabh from serving Padma, saying she doesn’t like kheer. Rishabh explains Padma has a coconut allergy, shocking Vinay. Apparently, this man never asked his wife what food could kill her in 30 years of marriage. Padma, soft queen that she is, says the kheer is actually very good.

Later, Bhagyashree asks Rishabh how he knows everything about her family. Rishabh, smirking, says he called Nitya last night and reminds her, “I’m an actor — I live my roles.” Sowmya observes from afar, her suspicion radar buzzing like a mosquito trapped in a glass.

Rishabh encourages Bhagyashree to feed her father rasam. Padma gifts Bhagyashree bangles, and Sowmya suggests Rishabh deserves a gift too for cooking. Rishabh uses the opportunity to shower romantic lines, saying he loves seeing gold bangles on Bhagyashree’s hands. Padma promises him a gold bracelet. Smooth, Rishabh. Very smooth.

Just when things seem too perfect, Bhagyashree gets called to work. Rishabh gives her a Bollywood-worthy send-off, waving at her with a smile while the neighbourhood aunties swoon at his husband skills.

But peace never lasts in daily soaps. Chadda storms in, demanding to know why Bhagyashree’s husband and entire family are in a women-only apartment. Vinay is left shocked, probably thinking, “Can this day get any worse?”
