Elsewhere, Vikrant, half-conscious and drunk, mistakes Mallika for Mannat. He holds her hand, pleading her not to leave him. Mallika, seeing her golden opportunity, smirks inside. She locks the room, thinking, “Today, no one can come between us. Tomorrow, he will marry me for sure.” As he keeps mumbling Mannat’s name in his drunken haze, he falls asleep before she can even begin her dirty tricks. She tries waking him up, annoyed at her failed plan, but he remains dead asleep, leaving her fuming.
At the hospital, the doctor informs Mannat that Shruthi is out of danger. Mannat thanks him with folded hands, her eyes brimming with relief. The doctor praises her bravery, telling her that she’s the real reason her mother survived. Mannat asks if her mom can go home now, but the doctor replies she needs observation for some more time before shifting to another room. Mannat smiles through her tears, thanking him once again.
Morning arrives with a horrifying twist. Vikrant wakes up, his head pounding, and what does he see? Mallika sleeping beside him. His shirt is half open, and his world spins. Vikrant, shattered, apologises repeatedly, telling her he would never take advantage of any woman like this, even in a drunken state. He pleads with her to tell him what exactly happened. Mallika lies confidently, saying he was completely broken after Mannat left him. She paints Mannat as a gold-digger who used him for his power and money. She claims he kept hugging and kissing her thinking she was Mannat, and despite trying to stop him, she ‘couldn’t resist’ because she had started falling for him.
Vikrant, with his moral compass still intact, asks her why she didn’t slap him. Mallika, continuing her melodrama, says she couldn’t because her feelings took over. She pretends to apologise, saying she knows he doesn’t love her and he shouldn’t feel pressured to marry her. But just then, her Dadi enters the room, and seeing them in that state, stands there utterly shocked. Mallika’s plan to trap Vikrant is now almost complete.
Meanwhile, Mannat hugs Shruthi tightly, her eyes moist with love. She thinks about how Shruthi is her precious mom sent by God, whereas her biological mom is nothing but a curse who doesn’t deserve to be called a mother. Just then, the nurse comes and informs her that Shruthi’s discharge process can begin. Mannat thanks her quietly, ready to take her mom back home.
