The episode begins with an emotional note as Katha writes in her diary about Mohan, recalling how he gave her a good life after her mother’s demise. Her heart aches seeing Mohan’s health deteriorate ever since Naina’s marriage. She feels guilty that her stubbornness might create more problems for him, and decides to marry for Mohan’s peace of mind. Tears stream down her face as she remembers how Mohan had sheltered her like his own daughter.
Meanwhile, at the Jindal house, Eshwar discusses the crisis facing their company with Harshvardan. Harshvardan wants to know who is behind this mess, and Eshwar reveals that some people are plotting to buy Jindal Pharmacy at a throwaway price. As he tries to explain further, UV arrives and addresses Eshwar as HOF. His cousins follow curiously. UV shocks everyone by announcing that he is ready to accept Eshwar’s marriage proposal to save his mother’s café. Eshwar feels victorious, but UV warns him that while he may win this round, UV will win the next ones.
UV declares that he is only agreeing to this marriage deal to regain his café, and that Eshwar even manipulated his mother for this. Eshwar praises UV’s decision and tells him that he will eventually come on the right path. However, UV’s words leave everyone confused and upset. He rudely states that he does not care whom he marries, as he will never accept this forced bond.
Rukhmani and UV’s cousins try to reason with him, but UV remains adamant, saying he will go to any extent for his café. Rukhmani scolds him for being insensitive, but UV storms off. Eshwar remains confident that UV will eventually fall in love with his bride. Rukhmani questions Eshwar about the girl’s feelings, arguing that the current generation chooses their life partners after meeting them. But Eshwar brushes her off, saying they too didn’t meet before marriage, and if they had, perhaps they wouldn’t be together today. He orders the family to start preparations immediately, fearing UV might change his mind again.
On the other side, Katha meets Vandana and asks if Mohan is stressed due to her marriage talks. Vandana is shocked and tries to change the topic, but Katha admits she overheard everything. Vandana assures her that no one will force her to marry, and they will find another solution. But Katha remains firm in her decision, saying that Mohan has done so much for her since childhood, and this is the least she can do for him. Vandana hugs her with tears in her eyes. Naina overhears them and understands why both Katha and Mohan are restless these days. She advises Katha not to sacrifice her life for Mohan, but Katha is unshaken, determined to marry the groom chosen for her.
Meanwhile, Mohan worries about when and how to tell Katha about her groom’s identity. In the precap, Katha tells her late mother’s photo that she won’t share her unhappiness with Mohan or Vandana. Mohan arrives and quietly places UV’s photo in her book, hoping she learns the truth. Later, the photo falls onto a pot, and Katha picks it up, looking utterly shocked.
