Bade Acche Lagte Hai 3rd July 2025 Written Update: Bhagyashree Finds Out Rishabh Isn’t Gay. The episode opens with a dramatic boardroom face-off as Chadda demands the Chairman to spill the beans. The Chairman, in his old-school honesty mode, clarifies to everyone that Bhagyashree had joined their company as a single woman but later submitted her marriage certificate. Hence, he didn’t update her husband’s name in the records. Problem solved, right? Not really. Rishabh turns to Bhagyashree, puffed up with pride, and smirks, “Didn’t I tell you to trust me?”
Of course, Bhagyashree looks like she’d rather trust a snake. Nitya, ever the sass queen, scolds everyone for wasting her precious Sunday over such trivial gossip. As people leave, Padma tells Vinay everything is sorted. Lajjo takes the opportunity to flatter Rishabh, calling him “one in a million” and Bhagyashree super lucky to have such a gem. Padma checks if Vinay’s doubts are finally cleared and he agrees, though he still carries that ‘I don’t trust this guy’ face. Meanwhile, Sowmya internally plots to use her secret evidence bomb later.
Bhagyashree, exhausted by the drama, questions Rishabh about how he got those incriminating Bangkok trip photos of Chadda’s gang. Rishabh casually replies he found them in the office. Pramidh then tells Mukul in panic that he’s married and those photos could ruin him, so he had no choice but to support Rishabh’s plan. Bhagyashree presses Rishabh about the marriage certificate arrangement, and he reveals that his assistant Sunny managed it all. Bhagyashree, already confused enough for a lifetime, thanks Rishabh with a touch of sarcasm for entering her life and teases him about loving Sunny. Rishabh nonchalantly replies, “He’s my brother, so yes.” Bhagyashree’s eyes widen like saucers as she blurts, “Brother?” The confusion intensifies when Rishabh clarifies, “I’m not like Sunny. I only like girls.” Her entire universe shatters in that second because she always assumed Rishabh was gay. Furious, she throws him out with a pillow and blanket, refusing to let him sleep in the room. Rishabh, looking like a kicked puppy, argues what mistake he made and worries her parents will think the worst seeing him sleep outside. Bhagyashree doesn’t care and tries calling Nitya to vent, but Nitya’s busy ignoring the drama.
Meanwhile, Sowmya stands nearby, calculating her next manipulative move. She praises Rishabh’s quick-wit but fears he’ll become Vinay’s favourite and snatch away the Chennai house she wants. Her scheming thoughts get interrupted when Karthik arrives, burping loudly while asking for acidity medicine. Disgusted, Sowmya throws him out of the room. Outside, Karthik finds Rishabh lying with his pillow and blanket. Both men bond over their misery, with Rishabh reminiscing about his carefree bachelor life. They set up camp in the hall, and Rishabh wonders what he did so wrong to deserve this punishment from Bhagyashree.
Elsewhere, Nitya discusses with Sonia how Rishabh was the perfect choice to act as Bhagyashree’s husband, and he played his part brilliantly in the meeting. Later, Nitya learns Bhagyashree didn’t come to the office and calls her. Bhagyashree, still reeling from her revelation, answers with a sigh and confesses, “Rishabh isn’t gay like everyone thought.” Nitya is stunned, but before the conversation continues, Padma interrupts.
Padma cheerfully insists Bhagyashree select a saree and jewellery for Meenakshi’s wedding, but Bhagyashree says she already has everything. Padma brushes off her protests, adding that Rishabh needs new clothes too. Rishabh quickly says Sunny will handle it. Just then, Sowmya enters with her trademark fakery, pretending she accidentally saw their passports. She questions why Bhagyashree hasn’t changed her surname or updated addresses. Vinay snatches the passports, demanding answers. Bhagyashree looks ready to collapse under the truth, and Rishabh steps in like a Bollywood hero, saving the day with his golden lies. He claims the passports Sowmya saw are old and shows Vinay new passports, saying they were planning a US trip. He adds dramatically, “I never wanted my wife to change her surname—she’ll always be Bhagyashree Iyer.” Everyone melts, though Bhagyashree squirms as he places his hand on her shoulder. Rishabh quickly pulls it back, not wanting more drama. He continues the lie marathon by saying Bhagyashree cancelled the trip to welcome their visiting family. Padma gets emotional, apologises for doubting them, while Sowmya glares like her villainous plans got foiled yet again.
When Sowmya questions Rishabh about his bank passbook, he calls it outdated, saying they now have a joint account. Padma tells Sowmya to drop her suspicions, and everyone leaves for their rooms. Bhagyashree immediately corners Rishabh, demanding why he lied again. He calmly replies he did it for her father’s health, suggesting she confess everything when Vinay is calmer. Rishabh acknowledges how much she loves her father and that she’s been suffering this punishment silently for five years, but she must ensure he never suffers when he learns the truth. Just then, Padma enters the room, interrupting the intense moment.
The episode ends on this note while the precap shows Rishabh adorably helping Bhagyashree get ready. Later, Vinay spots him sneaking out of the house and grows suspicious. This twist-packed episode shows how Bhagyashree’s entire worldview flips upon learning Rishabh isn’t gay, proving once again that assumptions can burn bridges faster than truth ever could.
