The episode opened with Jhanak telling Rishi that she wants to continue her studies. Her words held desperation as she explained that if she stopped studying, she’d become a burden on everyone. She knew education was her only ticket to becoming someone of worth. At the same time, she promised she would manage household chores perfectly without making mistakes. Dadabhai, the surprisingly supportive elder, told her he would help her study. For the first time in days, Jhanak’s lips curved into a genuine smile. Tanushri encouraged her to focus on her studies too. Rishi, however, was in his own ego world. He simply asked them to serve his food and left without acknowledging her dreams.
Later, Rishi took Aditi to a restaurant straight from college. Aditi was surprised and mildly nervous, reminding him that Anjana said they shouldn’t meet frequently since their wedding was approaching. Rishi brushed aside her worries, arrogantly saying he had the right to meet her whenever he wanted. He tried flattering her, telling her she looked beautiful. Aditi confessed her nervousness, unsure of how she’d adjust with his family after marriage. Rishi, dripping casual confidence, assured her she already knew them well, so nothing could go wrong. Aditi asked him to promise he’d never hide anything from her, and she promised to do the same. Rishi, internally shaken by her innocence, asked what she would do if she found out he hid something from her. Aditi, not sensing the tension behind his words, laughed and said she was only joking. Rishi sat there, drowning in guilt, wondering why he couldn’t confess the truth about Jhanak. Aditi, however, believed her fairytale, telling him that she knew he would never lie to her.
Meanwhile, Aniruddh called Dadabhai and brought up Jhanak’s recent ‘incident’. Dadabhai sounded embarrassed that it happened, but Aniruddh laughed it off, saying it was fine. He invited Rishi’s entire family to the Ashirwaad Ceremony on Sunday. Dadabhai agreed they would come. Jhanak overheard the conversation and murmured that Aniruddh was unnecessarily dragging her issue in front of everyone. Abhimanyu asked her to keep quiet. Dadabhai requested Aniruddh to forget the matter, but Aniruddh cheekily said her actions had entertained him so much that he might visit Dadabhai’s house just to see her again. He asked Dadabhai to bring Jhanak to the ceremony, making it his condition to forgive the incident. Dadabhai agreed and ended the call.
Everyone at home asked Dadabhai what Aniruddh said. When Dadabhai revealed that Aniruddh wanted Jhanak at the Ashirwaad ceremony, everyone was shocked. Jhanak, however, quietly smiled, perhaps feeling seen even in this twisted manner.
In the village, Nutan sat crying, lost in memories of her dear Jhanak and the bittersweet moments before her marriage to Rishi. Sakhi came to check on her, asking if she was okay. Nutan wiped her tears and lied that she was fine. Sakhi informed her that Parashar was going to Kolkata with Mangal and asked if Nutan wanted to come along to meet Jhanak. Nutan, burying her pain deeper, said she wouldn’t go. Sakhi was puzzled and asked why she didn’t want to meet Jhanak now. Nutan, trying to sound strong, said she had learnt to handle herself and didn’t want to trouble anyone anymore. She told Sakhi to tell Parashar that she wouldn’t hurt him. Sakhi teasingly said Nutan still loved Parashar. Nutan corrected her firmly, saying she only respected him. She added that she was living for Jhanak alone now. Honestly, Nutan’s silent strength is heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time.
Back in Kolkata, Jhanak overheard Rishi’s family talking about his upcoming wedding. Her heart sank as memories of her own wedding with him came flooding back. Her eyes carried pain, fear, and silent acceptance of her fading place in his life.
