Today’s episode was a chaotic mess of rituals, revenge plots, emotional meltdowns, and UV proving that maturity is clearly not his forte.
The Muddy Photo Mystery
The episode opens with Katha picking up a photograph from the ground. But thanks to a thick layer of mud, she can’t see whose photo it is. She looks confused, as if the universe itself is giving her hints wrapped in filth.
UV’s Haldi Drama Begins
The next morning, the Jindal family is all set for UV’s haldi ceremony. Rukmini, trying to keep the rituals smooth, requests Ambika to perform the haldi ritual. But Ambika straight-up refuses, leaving Rukmini awkwardly hanging. Chandrika, never one to miss a chance at emotional poking, comments on how UV’s mother left years ago, a remark sharp enough to slice bread.
Rukmini, terrified that UV might cancel his wedding if he overhears such truths, pleads with Chandrika to zip it. She then asks Shikha to bring UV downstairs. Enter UV, being escorted by his cousins, friends, and uncle, looking like he’s being taken to a sacrifice pit rather than a haldi ritual.
As his cousins jokingly ask him to remove his kurta, UV vents his frustration about everything happening in his life. Meanwhile, Shikha asks Rukmini what to do with the cow dung, making UV’s face twist into a disgusted meme-worthy expression. He mentally vows to keep away from both gobar (cow dung) and gobar devi (implying Katha, in his twisted vocabulary). That line alone earned UV the title of ‘Clown of the Day’.
Katha’s Emotional Moment
Elsewhere, Naina and Vandana enter Katha’s room only to find her teary-eyed, holding her mother’s wedding lehenga and photo close to her chest. They silently leave, not wanting to break her fragile moment.
Katha talks to her mother’s photo, pouring out her fears and hopes about her life after marriage. Her raw vulnerability in that scene felt so real that even the stone deity from Jhanak’s episode would have cried.
UV’s Sabotage Idea
Back at the haldi ceremony, Eshwar asks Rukmini to hurry up with rituals. Chandrika agrees with him, and Rukmini gently persuades UV to sit for the haldi. UV, visibly irritated, listens as Charu explains the importance of the haldi ceremony and how they have to send some haldi to the bride’s house as well.
Suddenly, UV’s eyes gleam with a wicked idea. He decides to sabotage the ceremony. His mood flips 180°, and he enthusiastically asks the family to begin applying haldi. Everyone stares at him, suspicious about this sudden cooperation. Shlok, sensing something shady, questions him. But UV deflects and insists Chandrika start the ritual. One by one, family members apply haldi on him, unaware of his evil schemes brewing within.
UV mutters to himself that even if today’s plan fails, he will find another way to stop this wedding at any cost. Chandrika overhears and rebukes him for such thoughts. But UV, caring little about her scolding, calls his cousins and friends for a secret code red meeting after the ceremony.
UV’s Secret Plan Revealed
In the gang meeting, UV reveals his brilliant sabotage plan: he will ensure the haldi from his house never reaches Katha’s house, thus halting the wedding rituals. His friends nod along like he’s a mafia boss laying out a masterplan. He then calls his personal detective, instructing him to block the haldi delivery. The detective, with dramatic flair, vows to complete this as his life mission. Honestly, these two need their own comedy spin-off.
Shlok, eavesdropping, fails to hear the exact plan but guesses UV is trying to ruin the wedding. He decides to inform Eshwar immediately to stop this nonsense.
Katha’s Haldi Ceremony
Meanwhile, Katha comes out of her room for her haldi ceremony. She looks divine yet burdened by invisible worries. She touches Mohan’s feet for blessings, and Vandana blesses her warmly, though her eyes glisten with tears at the thought of her daughter’s uncertain future.
Precap: UV’s Next Mess
Tomorrow promises another blast of UV’s idiocy. He spills haldi on Katha, earning himself a well-deserved scolding. UV, being UV, mocks Katha for her upcoming marriage, adding salt to her wounds. Later, at her exam hall, Tammy conspires against Katha, leading the principal to cancel her exam paper. Katha feels UV is behind this and decides never to forgive him.

Today’s episode was a circus led by UV, the unwilling groom who thinks sabotaging rituals is the ultimate solution to life’s problems. His childish plans to block haldi deliveries prove he’s not ready for marriage, adulthood, or even basic emotional maturity.
Katha’s pain today was subtle yet shattering. Her dreams remain fragile, her faith shaking as she prepares for a future she never chose. The contrast between UV’s clownish sabotage plans and Katha’s silent prayers highlights the sad reality of their forced relationship.
Rating: 3.5/5 – For Katha’s emotional resilience, UV’s villainous comedy, and Shlok’s silent vow to spoil the sabotage mission.
