Mangal then reminds Ishana that tomorrow is her birthday and asks what she wants. Ishana says she doesn’t want anything, but Mangal suggests having a small party at home with her friends. Ishana hugs her with an innocent smile, but in her mind, she thinks proudly, “My plan worked.”

Today’s episode of Mangal Lakshmi was a rollercoaster of emotional blackmail, misunderstandings, and Ishana’s masterclass in manipulation. While the show tries to portray her as a child desperate to hold on to her mother, her actions today scream pettiness. Recording conversations secretly and twisting them to break someone’s marriage shows her insecurity more than Kapil’s intentions.
Kapil, despite his poorly worded conversation, wasn’t entirely wrong – he was simply hesitant about suddenly becoming a father figure to kids he barely knows. But the show throws him under the bus as if he plotted to sell the kids off to an orphanage.
The emotional beats were strong, especially Mangal’s teary breakdown and Akshat’s innocence. Ishana’s joy at her plan’s success, however, made her look a little villainous, reducing sympathy for her character. Overall, the episode was dramatic and engaging but left viewers frustrated with Ishana’s manipulative approach.
