The episode opens on a sweet note as Mangal prepares a cake for Ishana’s birthday. She receives a message from Sonu congratulating her on her upcoming marriage with Kapil. Kusum arrives, praises her cake skills, and slyly asks if she has invited Kapil and Pratima to the birthday bash. Mangal, awkwardly avoiding the topic, makes an excuse and hurries away. Clearly, drama was just beginning to brew in her kitchen alongside the cake.

Meanwhile, Kapil lies half asleep in his room when Pratima enters and switches on the light, nearly jumping out of her skin seeing him brooding in darkness like an emotional TV serial hero. She senses something is wrong and asks why Mangal didn’t come to see her designs. Kapil breaks the news bomb, revealing that Ishana overheard his private conversation with Pratima and spilled it to Mangal, leading her to cancel the wedding altogether.
