Mangal Lakshmi 17th July 2025 Written Update: Ishana’s Dilemma – Betrayal, Blackmail, and a Mother’s Unseen Tears
The episode begins with Mangal standing strong in her decisions. She tells Adit that running Pehla Swaad is her responsibility now. Adit, clearly irked by her resolve, tries to guilt-trip her. He asks whether Ishana isn’t her responsibility too, implying she’s neglecting her daughter. Mangal, tired of his taunts, shoots back at him that she isn’t someone who abandons her duties midway – a clear burn to Adit for leaving her alone in life’s battles. Wiping away her tears quietly, she walks to her room, carrying the burden of unspoken pain.
Meanwhile, Sowmya is busy wondering where all her money has vanished – truly, people here have separate Netflix shows running in their minds.
On the other end, Ishana is drowning in her own mess. She gives money to Yash, desperate for him to delete her scandalous video. But Yash, the cunning creep, asks her for one last “favor”. He hands her a suspicious package and demands she deliver it. Ishana asks what’s inside, her gut churning with fear, but he smirks and refuses to reveal it. When she insists on the video deletion, he threatens to expose everything to Mangal if she doesn’t follow orders. Ishana’s entire world shakes under her feet.
In a horrifying twist, Mangal actually receives the video. Ishana returns home to find her mother watching it. Rage and betrayal flash in Mangal’s eyes as she slaps Ishana hard. Ishana tries to justify herself, saying she never liked Kapil and only wanted to stop Mangal’s marriage. But Mangal isn’t having it – she orders Ishana to apologize to Kapil and drags her away despite her resistance.
But… this entire intense confrontation turns out to be a dream. Ishana wakes up, stunned and breathless. Kusum notices her lost expression and questions her, but Ishana masks her turmoil with a random excuse.
Soon after, Mangal enters, casually mentioning that someone has sent her a video, but it isn’t downloading due to a network glitch. Ishana’s soul almost leaves her body. As the download progresses, Ishana, in a panicked move, breaks a bowl to distract Mangal. Amidst the chaos, she messages Yash, begging him to delete the video. She reluctantly agrees to do his shady task to save herself.
Mangal looks at her phone again but notices the video has been deleted. Ishana nervously says it might have been spam. But Mangal checks the sender’s profile and sees Yash’s face. She questions Ishana, who lies that she had given Mangal’s number to her friends, so maybe he sent it by mistake. The poor mother looks confused but lets it slide for now.
However, Mangal soon finds medicine strips scattered from the broken bowl. Her heart sinks as she realizes Ishana hasn’t been taking her medicines and lied about recovering from her trauma. Mangal’s motherly instinct instantly alerts her, and she decides to keep a strict watch on her daughter.
Later, Ishana calls Yash again, crying and pleading with him not to ruin her life. But Yash has no mercy left. He orders her to deliver his parcel to Gurgaon if she wants her secret safe. Ishana’s mind races, knowing Gurgaon is far away – how will she manage this alone?
Sowmya walks in during her breakdown, casually asking for her charger, oblivious to Ishana’s storm within. Ishana fakes a smile and says everything is fine, another lie added to her growing pile.
Morning arrives with fresh exhaustion. Mangal notices Ishana is awake unusually early. Ishana confesses she couldn’t sleep all night. Mangal lovingly tells her to rest after breakfast and take leave from work. Ishana nods silently, her heart weighed down by her helplessness.
At Pehla Swaad, Kapil faces new struggles. The employees say they can’t complete orders without Mangal’s team. Kapil feels defeated, ready to shut the place down. But just then, hope walks back in. Mangal and her team return, standing like warriors. Kapil’s eyes shine with gratitude as he thanks her. Mangal, wearing her silent crown of resilience, simply says, “Me and our team are back.”
Kapil takes a step further and tells her he has transferred all shares of Pehla Swaad in her name. He assures her that he will never force her to choose between him or her children again. She notices he is still wearing the engagement ring – a silent plea for her acceptance.
Meanwhile, the workers inform Mangal that the Gurgaon consignment is ready. Yash grabs this chance and orders Ishana to place his parcel along with her mother’s consignment or face the consequences. Ishana’s eyes dim in fear, knowing she is digging a deeper grave.
The episode ends with a sinister glimpse of the future.

Kapil and Mangal’s bond showed hope amid despair. His gesture of transferring Pehla Swaad shares reflects maturity and respect, making him stand out as a dignified character.
Overall, the episode left an ache in the heart and questions in the mind – how far can Ishana go to protect herself, and how long will Mangal’s patience survive these shocks?
