Saru 18th July 2025 Written Update: Ved’s Apology Fails to Heal Saru’s Wounds. The episode begins with Ved making Saru wear the diamond pendant. He softly apologises to Saru. He tells her he couldn’t understand her during the elections. He admits he was worried she would break down under pressure or get hurt. But today, he realises he forgot that she is Saru – the girl who never bows down to anyone. “No one has ever been like you, and no one ever will be,” he tells her with deep admiration.
As Ved looks at her, the room fills with music reflecting his unspoken love. Meanwhile, Tara walks in, her eyes burning with anger. She sees the expensive necklace Saru has kept safely in her bag – a gift from Ved. She scolds Saru and drags her outside the room. Tara misunderstands the entire situation. She humiliates Saru in front of everyone, calling her a thief and shameless girl from a village who dreams of trapping rich men. Her words cut through Saru’s soul like a blade. Tara shouts, “You roam around others’ houses just to steal things, don’t you? I warned you once at the hospital to stay away from my son. If I see you near him again, I’ll ruin you.”
Saru trembles as Tara accuses her of stealing the diamond necklace worth over 20 lakhs. Tara throws the necklace towards Saru, saying, “Is this yours? Tell me where you got it from. Stop lying, you low-class girl.” Saru breaks down but tries to explain, saying she didn’t steal it. No one listens. The family looks at her with disgust. Tara humiliates her further, saying, “People like you can never match our status. You’re born to work in others’ homes, not stand beside us.”
Saru’s tears keep falling, but Tara continues her cruel words, “You teach dance to my granddaughter, right? That’s all you’re good for. And today, you dared to come to my party? Just get out of here before I lose my mind.” Ved tries to intervene, but Tara stops him, refusing to hear a word in Saru’s defence.
Another woman in the family supports Tara, claiming she saw Saru putting the necklace in her bag. The entire family stands silently, and Saru realises her truth will never matter to them. Her dignity feels shattered beyond repair.
Summoning courage through her tears, Saru speaks up. She tells Tara, “You insulted my art today. You city people don’t know, but in our village, everyone respects dance. We touch the earth before we dance because we treat our art like our mother. You said I’m low-class, but I’m proud of my upbringing. We remain quiet not because we are weak, but because we are tied to our values. But everyone has limits. Still, if my words hurt you, I apologise again.”
Her voice trembles as she folds her hands and pleads Tara to stop humiliating her. Saru leaves Ved’s house, her feet heavy with sorrow. Ved runs behind her, desperate to stop her. He calls out her name repeatedly, asking her to listen. Saru turns to him with tears streaming down her face. She says, “All I ever thought was that you respected villagers. But today I see our worth in your eyes. You stood silent when I was insulted. Now, whatever you say feels like a lie to comfort me.”
Ved tries to explain. He says he respects her, always has, and always will. But Saru shakes her head and interrupts, “If you respected me, you would’ve spoken up in front of everyone. Now your words mean nothing to me.” Her voice cracks as she continues, “I used to think friendship is only true between equals. Today, I realise I was wrong. For you, I’ll always be that poor village girl.”
Ved begs her to stay, apologising for his silence, admitting he was wrong for not speaking up against his mother. But Saru tells him, “Your mother isn’t at fault. She doesn’t know me, so why would she trust me? You showed me my place today. Now please stop following me. Let me go.”
Her words pierce Ved’s heart. As Saru walks away with a heavy heart, Ved watches helplessly, tears in his eyes. He takes out the necklace he brought for her, remembering how he planned to give it as a token of his love and apology. But now, holding it feels meaningless. He whispers to himself, “You are in every breath I take. Without you, I won’t survive. I truly will die without you.”
The episode ends with Ved’s silent tears and Saru walking away, her back straight but her soul broken. Their unspoken love remains suspended between them – a bond neither can deny, yet both are too wounded to accept.
