Kumkum Bhagya 25th July 2025 Written Update: Prarthna’s Unbreakable Faith and Shivansh’s Ruthless Ultimatum. Today in Kumkum Bhagya, Prarthna’s Fierce Stand Against Divorce.
Shivansh tries to keep himself occupied at work. He gets busy in a meeting. He still has Prarthna on his mind. He apologizes. The man says that Shivansh is missing Prarthna a lot. Prarthna says that she won’t give a divorce to Shivansh. Sonalika says that it will happen if Shivansh said it. Prarthna refuses to divorce Shivansh. She says that marriage isn’t a joke, but a life; it connects two people, she believes in her marriage, and she will not break it. She asks Bua Maa why she didn’t ask Shivansh to keep the marriage.
Sonalika tells that the marriage isn’t a real one, and Prarthna knows the truth. Shivansh will leave her one day; the marriage was a deception, it was his revenge plan, and the marriage is just fake. Prarthna asks Sonalika how a real marriage happens. She explains the rituals. She says that Shivansh and she got married, and Bua Maa did her grahpravesh. She says that she can’t give a divorce.
Bua Maa scolds her and asks her to give a divorce and free Shivansh. Prarthna tells that Shivansh is made for her; she can’t leave him. Sonalika offers her money to leave Shivansh. She puts a price on Prarthna’s divorce. Prarthna asks if she can give whatever she asks for. Sonalika asks her to say any amount. Prarthna asks for Shivansh, who is her real asset. Sonalika asks her to shut up and leave.
Prarthna refuses to leave the house and Shivansh’s life. She says that Shivansh has become her Kumkum Bhagya now. Sonalika asks her to give a divorce to Shivansh and leave. Prarthna tells that the marriage is real, but it might not mean anything to Sonalika; her relationship isn’t on sale. She doesn’t want to talk to Sonalika. She lectures Sonalika. She says that Shivansh married her, and the reason behind their marriage doesn’t matter. She adds that nobody can break their marriage.
Sonalika asks her to stop her big dialogues. Prarthna tells that she will speak to Shivansh. Bua Maa says that he isn’t at home. Prarthna tells that she will stay back and wait for him. She declares that she will keep the relationship for the next seven births. Sonalika laughs and makes fun of her. Prarthna tells that she will not leave the house and she will not break her marriage.
She adds that she will try to win Shivansh until she is alive. She says that it’s her values, she won’t end her marriage, and she will just remain Shivansh’s wife. Sonalika fumes and angrily throws things. Bua Maa asks Sonalika where she is going. Sonalika tells that she will go and speak to Shivansh. She wants Prarthna out of his life. She goes to Shivansh’s office. The staff lady stops her.
Sonalika doesn’t listen and rushes inside Shivansh’s cabin. She asks the men to leave. Shivansh asks Sonalika what she is doing. She shouts and asks the men to get out. The men leave. She vents anger at Shivansh. She tells him that she wanted to ruin him after he insulted her by betraying her love. She adds that she didn’t call her parents to inform about his mistake, she was angry with Shivansh but still cared for him, she trusted him, and now he can’t break her trust.
He asks her to calm down and tell him what happened. She says that she was happy when he said he wants to divorce Prarthna, that he wants to move on with Sonalika, he cares for her, and he still loves her. She adds that she has called her mom and asked her to prepare for their wedding’s next function. She is mad that Prarthna has refused a divorce. Shivansh is shocked. He goes home and meets Bua Maa.
Bua Maa tells him that Prarthna has insulted her. She lies that Prarthna has blamed her for provoking him to divorce. She says that Prarthna has ruined her respect. Shivansh gets angry and goes. Bua Maa tells Sonalika that she lied to Shivansh so that he divorces Prarthna. Sonalika asks if Shivansh believed her. Bua Maa says yes. She knows he always believes her. She tells Sonalika that Shivansh and Prarthna’s relationship will break down now. Shivansh goes to his room and meets Prarthna.
She says that she wants to talk to him. He angrily scolds her and asks why she talked to Bua Maa and Sonalika. She asks him to listen to her. He says that he won’t go against his word, he wants a divorce, and he has a reason for it. He declares that he wants a divorce, and Prarthna has to give it. She refuses to give to him. He says that he doesn’t want to stay with her.
She says that she will not break her marriage. He says that he knows she wants freedom; she can go and live her life. She asks if he thinks their marriage is a cage for her, it’s a pure relationship for her. He taunts her for her modern mindset to keep her marriage and have an affair. She says that marriage means to her, and she will not divorce him. He says that their marriage means nothing; he betrayed her and married her. She says that she has accepted their marriage as it was destined.
She says that marriage means a bond of seven births to her. Bua Maa comes and asks her to stop lecturing about her Kumkum Bhagya. Prarthna says that she will keep her marriage forever. She tells Shivansh that she has accepted her marriage, because she is a pandit’s daughter, she knows the importance of the marriage rituals, Shivansh’s bad intentions and evil motives got burnt and he has become a good husband for her, he has done his duty and protected her, he said he is her husband, the havan fire had purified his bad thoughts.
Sonalika comes and asks her to stop manipulating Shivansh. She reminds Shivansh that they have seen Prarthna close to Raunak. Prarthna asks Shivansh what Sonalika is saying. He says that it’s the truth, Prarthna has an affair with Raunak. Prarthna gets heartbroken.

This episode showcased Prarthna’s unbreakable resolve and pure-hearted faith in her marriage, despite facing betrayal and taunts from everyone around her. Her dialogues were powerful, portraying the depth of her character, while Shivansh remained cold and rigid in his decision, making him appear cruel and unfeeling. Sonalika’s taunts and manipulations only added fuel to the emotional fire.
Bua Maa’s deceptive game was infuriating, proving how family politics can destroy lives. The final blow, with Shivansh accusing Prarthna of an affair, broke her spirit but strengthened her determination. The emotional turbulence, layered character motives, and moral dilemmas kept the episode gripping. Overall, it was a well-written, intense, and tear-inducing drama.
