The episode opens with Rishi attempting to talk to Aditi, desperate to clear the storm. But Aditi is in no mood to hear excuses. For her, the only truth that matters is this—Rishi got married to Jhanak, and he kept it hidden. She accuses him of betrayal and laments that he never told her about the marriage.
Jhanak steps in, trying to calm the fire. She defends Rishi, saying the marriage was never real for either of them. It was a forced decision—taken to protect Rishi from her village’s wrath. She insists Rishi never saw her as a wife and only ever loved Aditi. With folded hands, Jhanak pleads Aditi not to call off her wedding with Rishi.
But Aditi is deeply wounded. She asks Rishi why he brought Jhanak into their home and made her work as a maid. Rishi admits he wanted to come clean, but fear held him back. Aditi coldly tells him that if she hadn’t received the photos, she’d still be living a lie. Rishi confesses that he didn’t know how or when to start telling her. He tries to explain that he’s not guilty—just scared. He says the villagers would have killed him if he hadn’t agreed to marry Jhanak.
Still, Aditi demands to know what exactly happened in the village. Rishi refuses to elaborate, saying she wouldn’t believe it anyway. That only adds to her mistrust. She says she can’t trust him anymore. Turning to Anirudh, she announces her decision—she can’t marry Rishi. She tells him to take the family and leave. As a final blow, she tells them Rishi and Jhanak should get married properly if they’re already married.
Jhanak, on the verge of tears, questions Aditi’s logic. If there’s no real relationship between her and Rishi, why should they be forced to continue a lie? She pleads for Aditi and Rishi’s love to be given a fair chance. Even Dadabhai tries to reason with Aditi, saying cancelling the wedding isn’t right after hearing the truth directly from Jhanak.
Rishi then bares his soul. He tells Aditi she’s the only woman he has ever loved. He was simply terrified of losing her, and that fear silenced him. He begs her not to doubt his love. He assures her that Jhanak will soon leave for the village and nothing will come between them again.
But Aditi is still holding onto the facts. Forced or not, the marriage happened. She tells Rishi to accept his responsibility and acknowledge his relationship with Jhanak. At that moment, Anirudh recalls the time he too was forced into marriage with Jhanak—a memory that echoes through the tension in the room.
Rishi then tells Aditi that the villagers were too ignorant to understand, and he had no voice in the situation. He intended to sever ties with Jhanak after leaving the village, but she followed him home. Once again, he begs Aditi to believe in his love. But Aditi keeps circling back to the betrayal—how he hid such a huge truth from her. She says she cannot look past it.
Choton steps in and appeals to her better judgment. He says just like Anirudh once followed his heart, Aditi too is now doing the same. He urges her to think things through.
