Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 1st August 2025 Written Update: Armaan’s Comeback, Abhira’s Heartbreak, and Myra’s Dilemma

The episode kicks off with Krish being… well, Krish. He throws a tantrum and gives Armaan an offer laced with ego—“Join my firm as manager or forget your salary.” Bold of him to assume Armaan’s interested in being his assistant when he just reclaimed the entire Poddar empire. Armaan coolly shuts him down, flips the power dynamic, and announces he owns both the firm and the house now. Plot twist of the day: Krish is actually his employee. Oof, the way Krish’s pride cracked louder than Diwali crackers was almost satisfying.

Armaan drops a truth bomb, asking Krish to stop being petty and start valuing his family before it’s too late—like it already is for him. There’s pain behind Armaan’s smug win, and the writers made sure we feel it.

Meanwhile, in a completely different emotional lane, Vidya and Kaveri play the perfect wing-women, helping Anshuman prep for Tanya’s grand welcome. Anshuman’s curious about Krish’s return, but Tanya, conveniently ignoring the truth, proposes something entirely off-track—“Why not marry Abhira?” Anshuman, thankfully not drunk on Tanya’s delusion, says he’ll wait until Abhira finds closure with Myra. For once, someone is thinking straight in this show.

Over at the heartbreak corner, Abhira dials Geetanjali to ask for Myra’s favorite recipes. Sweet move, right? But what she gets is not a phone call—it’s a full-blown Geetanjali entry, dressed in disapproval. The woman doesn’t come bearing warmth but accusations, questioning Abhira’s intentions and snatching the moral high ground like it’s on sale. Geetanjali bluntly says, “You may know how to cook, but Myra won’t eat your food,” before issuing a micromanaging command to call her if Myra refuses to eat. Geetanjali’s middle name is Control Issues.

As expected, Myra refuses to eat and pines for Geetanjali. Abhira’s heartbreak deepens when Myra declares, “You’re just my aunty, Geetanjali is my mom.” That one sentence hits like a truck. Abhira’s silence and resignation are soul-crushing. In a rare mature move, she lets Myra go because seeing her cry hurts more than losing her.

Elsewhere, Tanya complains to Kiara about Krish ghosting her, and also admits to hiding the truth from Anshuman. The guilt is simmering, but not enough to make her confess. Meanwhile, Abhir approaches Kiara with an apology, trying to clean up Krish’s mess. Kiara, however, gives him the cold shoulder. She’s clearly done handing out forgiveness tokens to everyone in Poddar-land.

Back at home, Kaveri and Vidya tell Abhira to fight back and not give up on Myra. Armaan returns and is met with the shocking news—Geetanjali has taken Myra away. The defeated look on his face says it all.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 1st August 2025 Written Update Episode Review:

This episode served a solid punch of power shifts, emotional gut punches, and overdue realisations. Armaan’s redemption arc is hitting the right notes, especially now that he’s gone from groveling to owning up. Krish, on the other hand, is just spiraling into a puddle of self-importance and denial. Tanya’s still playing hide-and-seek with the truth, which is annoying, but at least Anshuman isn’t jumping into marriage like it’s a dance rehearsal.

The emotional core, however, is Abhira and Myra. Their bond, even in its breaking, remains the most compelling part of the show right now. Abhira’s heartbreak is portrayed with restraint, but the pain is raw. That scene where she lets Myra go? Easily the episode’s highlight.

Final Verdict:
Rating: 4.5/5
A beautifully layered episode with a pinch of roast, a dose of pain, and a promise of reunion. The Armaan vs Krish showdown was cathartic, and Abhira’s silent strength continues to be the spine of this narrative.

Precap:
Armaan becomes the glue trying to hold everything together again. He assures Abhira he’ll bring Myra back—and surprisingly succeeds. He calls Abhira “the best,” which finally melts Myra’s heart enough to say yes. The Poddar house might finally breathe again. Or maybe… not yet.
