Kumkum Bhagya 5th August 2025 Written Update: Prarthna’s Penance. Today in Kumkum Bhagya, Raunak warns Sonalika. He tells her that he loves Prarthna and cares for her. He angrily threatens Sonalika. He says that if Sonalika has done some plotting against Prarthna, then it won’t be good. She tells him that he has no idea what’s happening — Prarthna went to Payal’s house, took a police constable’s disguise, and interrogated Payal.
She recorded Payal’s confession, and Payal revealed the entire truth. She adds that Raunak will lose Prarthna, and she will lose Shivansh if Prarthna shows the video to him. She asks him to understand the upcoming problem. Raunak asks her not to harm Prarthna. She gets enraged. Prarthna performs a tough penance for Shivansh.
Sonalika sees Shivansh in the ICU and cries. Bua Maa comes to her. Sonalika tells her that Shivansh is fighting for his life and is in a critical condition. Bua Maa says that Shivansh will recover because of Sonalika. Sonalika replies that it’s her responsibility to take care of him. Bua Maa agrees and speaks to the doctor. The doctor informs them that Shivansh is in danger. Bua Maa and Sonalika grow worried. Sonalika says she feels something bad is about to happen. She shares her fears with Shivansh.
Sonalika regrets scolding Bua Maa in anger. Bua Maa tells her that she understands her mental state. She then asks about Prarthna. Sonalika replies that Prarthna might have gone to meet Raunak. She blames Prarthna for Shivansh’s condition. Meanwhile, Prarthna continues her penance as it starts raining.
Sonalika tells Bua Maa that Shivansh took Prarthna’s car — and with it, her troubles. Bua Maa says that Prarthna is unlucky for Shivansh. Sonalika tells her that Prarthna shouldn’t be kept in their house and asks her not to listen to Shivansh anymore. She insists that Bua Maa already knows what needs to be done.
Prarthna reaches the temple. She tells the Sadhvi that she must go to Lord Shiv and pray for her husband’s life. She proceeds. Swati visits Gayatri and tells her about Prarthna’s penance. Gayatri knows Prarthna loves Shivansh deeply. She says that Shiv ji’s temple is powerful and believes Prarthna’s prayers will be answered.
Prarthna climbs the temple stairs and prays to Lord Shiv. Tanya reaches the hospital and checks on Shivansh. She meets Sonalika and Bua Maa, and asks why they are crying. She worries something terrible will happen to Shivansh and breaks down, crying for her brother.
Bua Maa argues with a nurse. Prarthna, still praying to Shiv, slips and falls, getting injured. She gathers strength and continues her penance.
