Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 9th August 2025 Written Update: Abhira’s Race for Myra’s Heart. The episode kicks off with Armaan directly questioning Abhira — did she give Myra walnuts? Abhira, taken aback, says she didn’t even know about the allergy. Instead of staying on the backfoot, she flips the question — why didn’t he pack Myra’s medicines if her health was such a big concern? Armaan’s jaw probably tightens, but before they can go for round two, the doctor steps in and casually says, “Kids often get ill, it happens.” Bad move, Doc. Abhira doesn’t take the laid-back attitude well and gives him a verbal glare. Meanwhile, Armaan’s mind drifts to some past memory, which only makes the tension in the room heavier.
Elsewhere, Krish is busy bribing contractors — classy. Abhir, spotting the mess, decides to step in. Krish, still living in his blame-game era, tells Abhir that he is the reason Kiara was heartbroken and Charu lost her life. Harsh, much? Abhir, keeping his cool, tries to gain Krish’s trust. He even suggests Krish talk to Tanya and mend their broken ties. You’d think that would end things, but oh no — this is just Act One.
Back to Armaan and Abhira — Armaan tells her to calm down, but Abhira accuses him of something much deeper: trying to distance her from Myra. Ouch. Armaan tries to pacify her, but the conversation turns into yet another argument. Myra, tired of playing referee, tells both of them to leave the room. And just like that, the couple’s cold war gets an audience of one — and she’s not impressed.
Meanwhile, Krish tries reaching Tanya. At the same time, Abhir passes the gossip torch to Kiara, telling her Krish and Tanya are having a little meeting at a restaurant. Kiara, with all the sass of someone who’s been there before, says Tanya can return home first and then they’ll talk. Krish, in damage-control mode, apologizes to Tanya and blames Sanjay for spoiling him. Tanya, finally fed up, hits him with the truth bomb: “You’re an adult. Stop blaming others. You know what’s right and wrong.”
Before Krish can digest that, Anshuman arrives like a storm cloud, furious that Tanya is even talking to him. Abhir asks Krish to leave. Alone with Tanya, Anshuman questions her choice to meet Krish. Tanya admits she thought of giving Krish a second chance, but Anshuman warns her with zero sugar-coating — Krish is toxic, full stop.
Switching back to our lead couple — Armaan asks Abhira to eat something and serve healthy food to Myra. Abhira, not letting hypocrisy pass, points out that he doesn’t stop Myra from binge-watching TV or eating ice cream, things he once used to forbid. Double standards much? Armaan doesn’t have much of a comeback there.
Then the story shifts into battle of expenses mode. Abhira gets news about her shipment, while Armaan learns that she’s rented a ridiculously expensive car for Myra. He tells her to return it, but Abhira stands firm — if Myra asks, she delivers. Armaan warns her not to make the same overcompensation mistakes he once made. In a rare soft moment, he calls her perfect. Abhira, with the kind of one-liner that lands like a punch, replies: “If I were perfect, you wouldn’t have left.”
Boom. Argument No. 57 of the day is officially in the books.
Abhira reveals Geetanjali’s one-month challenge and warns Armaan to keep his distance. That’s enough to send him straight to Geetanjali. She, in her cool, calculated way, says she’s done nothing wrong — Myra will decide who makes her happiest. Meanwhile, Myra is seen secretly chatting with Geetanjali until Abhira interrupts. Myra, without hesitation, says she only sees Geetanjali as her mother. Abhira’s heart? Shattered. But she puts on a fake smile and says she’s happy being Myra’s “friend.” The emotional gut-punch is real.
On another track, Abhir has a moment of grief thinking about Charu, while Myra learns about Raksha Bandhan and wishes for a brother. Abhira tells her about Daksh, sparking excitement. Myra even prepares a rakhi for him. Abhira wonders if she’ll ever get the same love and acceptance Myra shows to others in the family.
The episode closes with that bittersweet note.
Precap: Myra tells Abhira about a dance competition and says she wants to participate with Geetanjali. Armaan steps in and urges Myra to give Abhira a chance. Myra, never one to keep things simple, declares both Abhira and Geetanjali will dance, and then she’ll decide. Challenge accepted — Abhira vows to win Myra’s heart.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 9th August 2025 Written Update Review
This episode was basically an emotional ping-pong match. On one side, we have Armaan and Abhira locked in their endless blame loop, with Myra caught in the middle like an unwilling referee. On the other, Krish is running his own chaos club, flipping between bribery, failed romance, and dramatic confrontations.
Abhira’s scenes hit the most emotionally — the way she tries so hard for Myra, only to be told she’s “just a friend,” stings for the audience too. But the car-rental subplot does make you raise an eyebrow — is Abhira overcompensating because she’s insecure? Probably.
Geetanjali’s challenge feels like a ticking time bomb. The upcoming dance competition twist is peak drama fuel — it’s not just about steps and music, it’s a showdown for Myra’s affection. And with Armaan’s hypocrisy being casually called out, it’ll be interesting to see if he stands by Abhira or ends up adding to her insecurities.
Overall, it’s an episode that keeps emotions high, relationships tense, and the competition stakes soaring. Definitely a “don’t skip” for viewers following the Myra–Abhira dynamic.
