Anupama 18th August 2025 Written Update: Prarthana Stands by Ansh. The episode begins with Anupama raising a bold question—why are girls never asked before their marriage is fixed? She says daughters deserve the right to choose their life partner. Prarthana agrees and opens her heart, recalling the day she returned from college only to find out that Vasundhara had already fixed her marriage. She remembers how she had planned to finish her MBA and stand by Parag, but her dreams were crushed.
Anupama makes a striking point—if families can spend hours discussing food choices at a restaurant, why can’t they sit down and discuss their daughters’ marriage decisions first? Her words leave the room heavy with silence.
Vasundhara takes offense and lashes out, blaming Anupama and Ansh for Prarthana’s divorce. But Anupama calmly denies it and instead points fingers at Gautam, calling him the real reason behind Prarthana’s suffering. She says had Prarthana seen his true colors earlier, her life would’ve been different. Stressing the importance of marital courtship, Anupama says a boy and girl must meet and check compatibility before tying the knot.
Her progressive words shock Vasundhara, who mocks her by twisting the argument—asking if Anupama wants “unlimited meetings” between boys and girls. At that moment, Khyati steps in and targets Anupama’s personal life. She questions her compatibility with Anuj, reminding everyone how Anupama lived with him before marriage and yet her first marriage with Vanraj failed. Khyati cruelly calls her a counselor who couldn’t even save her own relationships.
Prem tries to intervene, but Khyati shuts him down. Anupama, though taken aback, doesn’t stay silent. She tells Khyati that if she is so eager to know her story, she will narrate it some other time. Right now, Ansh’s marriage matters the most.
Shifting the focus, Anupama declares that if Parag’s second marriage is considered valid, then so is Prarthana’s. Gautam quickly interrupts, saying there’s no guarantee that Prarthana will be happy with Ansh. Anupama delivers a fiery reply—there’s one guarantee, that Prarthana will never find happiness with Gautam. Her words echo like thunder as she speaks about second chances in life, women’s independence, and the courage to fight for happiness.
Vasundhara taunts that even after independence, Anupama is still struggling. But Anupama counters beautifully—saying her struggles are her pride, because she hasn’t quit. She adds that she values happiness more because she has lived it in limited doses.
With dignity and warmth, Anupama invites the Kotharis to Ansh and Prarthana’s wedding. Prarthana also pleads with them to attend. Anupama turns to Parag and urges him to rethink his decision once again.
Back at the Shah house, Leela grows restless knowing Anupama and Prarthana went to meet the Kotharis. Pakhi, in her usual tone, blames Anupama for poking her nose everywhere. Preet comes to Anupama’s defense, but Leela shuts both of them down, warning them to stop bickering.
Meanwhile, Prarthana’s heart is heavy. She fears that Parag, Vasundhara, and Khyati might skip her wedding. Anupama comforts her like a shield. Later, while returning home, Anupama passes by “Anuj Ki Rasoi” and memories of her past with Anuj flood back, leaving her emotional.
