Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 17th August 2025 Written Update: Abhira’s Big Decision Shocks Everyone. The episode takes off with a heavy surprise. Geetanjali stands frozen, her eyes refusing to believe what they are seeing—Abhira and Myra standing together as winners. The judges proudly declare their victory, making Myra beam with happiness. Yet, she quickly reminds Abhira not to get over-excited since she is still hurt. Geetanjali, meanwhile, can’t digest the sight before her.
Armaan looks on with relief, finally seeing Abhira and Myra united. Anshuman joins the celebration, thrilled about the prize. But the moment he hears of Abhira’s injury, his joy turns into concern. He insists on taking her to a doctor, while Myra quietly feels guilty. She admits that Abhira got hurt because of her again, but Abhira brushes it off with her usual resilience. She urges Myra to talk to Geetanjali.
Myra musters courage and approaches Geetanjali, but her effort is brutally wasted. Geetanjali ignores her presence altogether. Even when Myra thanks her for taking care of her, Geetanjali responds with cold rudeness.
Meanwhile, Kaveri and Vidya catch Abhira in a serious discussion about her marriage with Anshuman. A storm brews inside Abhira, but she takes a bold decision. Myra, unaware of this, heads back with Armaan. She shares her worry with him and urges him to talk to Geetanjali. Myra refuses to leave for Mount Anu without reconciling with her grandmother. Armaan promises to help, though his mind is weighed down with one question—will Abhira ever forgive him?
Their conversation is interrupted by Tanya’s sudden scream. But it’s not a scream of fear—rather one of joy. Tanya has just learned that Abhira has agreed to marry Anshuman. Both Armaan and Myra freeze in shock. Abhira, calm but determined, confirms it. She tells Tanya that the wedding will take place in just two days in court. Anshuman lights up with happiness, and Abhira joins him in the celebration. Myra too shows excitement, but Armaan stands still, like someone whose ground has slipped away.
He quietly decides to leave, but Myra stops him and insists that he congratulate the couple. Armaan struggles, but Myra’s plea leaves him no choice. Tanya, busy with Janmashtami preparations, gives space to Abhira and Anshuman, leaving them alone.
Elsewhere, the Poddar family receives the big news. Manisha tells Kajal, Manoj, and Sanjay about Abhira and Myra’s unity, filling the house with smiles. Finally, Myra has embraced Abhira. But the peace doesn’t last. Geetanjali, fuming with anger, prepares to leave. Digambar tries to stop her, and Kajal pleads with her to calm down, but Geetanjali vents her rage. She accuses the Poddars of false sympathy, claiming they are secretly celebrating Abhira and Myra’s reunion. When Armaan tries to speak, Geetanjali cuts him off harshly, warning him never to show his face again.
The household sinks into shock when news of Abhira and Anshuman’s marriage spreads further. No one was prepared for such a twist.
Later, the sisters sit down for a heartfelt conversation. Myra, still processing Abhira’s decision, questions her. She reminds Abhira that she once condemned Armaan for separating them, but now he was the very one who brought her back. Myra gently asks her—if she can accept that, then why can’t she forgive him too? Abhira stays silent, hiding her turmoil behind her brave face.
The episode draws to a close, leaving relationships shaken and futures uncertain.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 18th August 2025 Review
This episode was a mix of celebration and heartbreak, packing both sweetness and bitterness in equal doses. Abhira and Myra’s victory should have been the perfect happy ending moment, but Geetanjali’s stubbornness kept the storm alive. Honestly, her behavior is bordering on childish tantrum now—ignoring Myra’s heartfelt thanks just showed how deep her bitterness runs.
Abhira’s sudden decision to marry Anshuman feels bold but rushed. It almost looks like a shield—her way of proving she’s moving forward, while deep inside, Armaan’s shadow still lingers. The highlight was Myra’s maturity; she not only supported Abhira but also stood strong against Geetanjali’s indifference. Tanya’s over-the-top excitement gave the episode a festive kick, though her timing was hilariously dramatic.
Armaan’s pain was the silent undertone throughout. His helpless expressions spoke volumes more than any dialogue. The fact that Myra had to drag him to congratulate Abhira says it all—his heart is still rooted in her, no matter what.
Overall, this was an emotionally charged episode that blended family drama with personal choices. The upcoming Janmashtami celebration seems set to become the next battlefield of emotions.
Rating: 4/5 – Strong drama, surprising twist, and a pinch of emotional roasting. The story keeps its grip, even if some choices feel impulsive.
