Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 20th August 2025 Written Update: Proposals, Family Drama & The Shocking “Vanakkam” Twist.
The episode starts with an office shocker: Nikhil suddenly goes full Bollywood hero—kneeling in front of Bhagyashree. She’s like, “Bro, what are you doing?” but Nikhil confidently says fate has given him a chance, and he’s not going to waste it. Before anyone can breathe, he proposes marriage. Bhagyashree, stunned beyond words, questions his move, but he explains it’s all part of his masterplan to keep Rishabh away from her.
And guess what? Looking straight at Rishabh, Bhagyashree agrees to marry Nikhil! A total mic-drop moment. Rishabh just stands there, all silent-simmering and brooding, the trademark ITV “angry ex” look.
Meanwhile, at home, Vinay and Karthik are playing MasterChef, serving snacks. Everyone praises them, Padma goes into a flashback mood, and Meenakshi tells her to move on. Just when things are happy and cozy, ding-dong—Revati enters with her fiancé, Purab. The twist? Purab arrives in full South Indian dhoti swag. Family melts seeing the cultural respect. Revati proudly introduces him, and the attention shifts—“But where’s Bhagyashree?”
Back at the office, colleagues gossip that Bhagyashree and Nikhil are now the latest “boss-employee romance.” Poor girl can’t catch a break. Nikhil, meanwhile, apologizes for proposing without consent but insists it was only to block Rishabh. Bhagyashree—clearly fed up with the triangle—agrees. Soon enough, Nikhil plans engagement. He even holds her hand extra dramatically in front of Rishabh, just to rub salt. Rishabh, of course, storms in and forcefully separates their hands before giving a cold, sarcastic “congratulations.” Classic ITV male ego move.
Cut to the family enjoying Purab’s company—praises all around, selfies clicked, shaadi vibes high. But Bhagyashree’s world turns upside down when she recognizes Purab as the brother of the man who forcefully seized their Chennai house. Cue instant tension. Karthik is furious, Padma plays peacemaker, and Purab insists he’s not that bad. But when asked about his elder brother… he says he’ll be joining soon.
And then—BAM—the doorbell rings again. Who walks in? None other than Rishabh, dressed in South Indian attire, serving “Vanakkam” like he’s auditioning for a Rajinikanth remake. Everyone freezes. Vinay loses it and demands he leave, but Purab introduces him as… his elder brother. Yup, Purab and Rishabh are siblings.
Shockwaves everywhere. Bhagyashree is mortified, Vinay feels betrayed, and Purab’s sweet-boy image crashes instantly. Rishabh, though, plays it smooth—he congratulates Purab and Revati, adds that Bhagyashree already works in his company, and now Revati will join his family too. Vinay explodes and throws Purab out, but the damage is already done.
Precap: Vinay warns Revati not to marry Purab. Revati, in classic ITV rebellious style, declares she will marry only Purab.
Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 20th August 2025 Written Update Review:
What an episode! Today felt like a full buffet—office romance drama, family comedy, emotional flashbacks, and a mega twist entry.
- Nikhil: Bro, proposing at the office in front of employees? HR is crying somewhere. But 10/10 for guts and strategy—man literally used shaadi as a shield.
- Bhagyashree: Poor girl is ping-ponging between Rishabh’s trauma and Nikhil’s “protective proposal.” She’s basically the unwilling lead of a reality show called Who Wants to Marry a Hero-Villain?
- Rishabh: The silent anger, the hand-snatching, the dramatic “Vanakkam”—sir, you’re serving villain realness mixed with hero complex. Peak ITV male energy.
- Purab: Entered like the perfect son-in-law, got exposed as “that house-snatcher’s brother” within 20 minutes. RIP to your image, Purab bhai.
- Revati: Still in “love is blind” mode. Wait till the full Rishabh truth smacks her.
The final twist—Rishabh and Purab as brothers—was pure masala writing. Total “clap-worthy” soap moment. Episode started with a proposal, ended with a Vanakkam bombshell.
Episode Rating: 4.2/5
- Office romance drama
- Family comedy moments
- Twist entry with traditional attire
- Logic missing here and there, but hey—it’s ITV, drama > logic always.
