Anupama 21st August 2025 Written Update: Anupama takes a bold step for Mahi. The episode begins with Anupama firmly asking Vasundhara and Khyati to leave. Mahi, on the other hand, decides that happiness is her right. For once, she wants to celebrate herself, so she dresses up like a bride, telling herself that since no one is watching, she can do as she pleases. But her moment is ruined when Badshah drags her out, insisting she play a game with him. Mahi hesitates, feeling awkward, but before she can escape, trouble brews.
Anupama takes a stand again, declaring that Prarthana has the full right to decide who her baby’s father will be. She states that Prarthana has written Ansh’s name into the baby’s destiny, and no one has the power to erase it. Once more, she asks Vasundhara and Khyati to leave and even points out that she won’t let them eat sweets at the ceremony because she won’t waste them on people filled with bitterness. Vasundhara leaves after warning that Anupama will pay for this later.
Khyati then turns her sharp tongue towards Mahi. She sees Mahi in bridal attire and lashes out, mocking her for daring to dress like a bride when she is a widow. Anupama intervenes and asks Khyati to leave Mahi alone. But Khyati doesn’t stop—she accuses Anupama of killing Aryan, trying to snatch Prem, separating Prarthana, and now trying to separate Mahi from the family. The writers are clearly building up a bold track where Anupama will take on the conservative mindset head-on by planning Mahi’s remarriage.
Mahi’s emotional turmoil was also well-portrayed. Her vulnerability, her guilt, and her outburst at Anupama felt raw and real. The reconciliation between her and Anupama brought some much-needed relief. On the other hand, Rahi’s bitterness seems to be the seed for upcoming drama, especially with the ritual twist in the precap.
Prarthana and Ansh’s supportive bond was another strong point. It balanced the heavy drama with some warmth. The parallel comic relief with Jignesh and fritters added a homey touch, reminding viewers that life goes on amidst chaos.
