Bade Achhe Lagte Hai 25th August 2025 Written Update: Bhagyashree Torn Between Past and Present, Engagement Twist Ahead.
The episode begins on a tense note as Revati confronts her father, Vinay, questioning why he canceled her engagement while preparing for Akka’s (Bhagyashree’s) engagement. Vinay calmly explains that Revati is still young and has plenty of time ahead of her, but Bhagyashree is heartbroken, and he wants to secure her happiness. Padma interrupts, reminding Vinay that their relatives still believe Rishabh is Bhagyashree’s husband. Vinay, however, remains firm—he will tell the truth about their divorce, declaring that he does not care about society’s opinion. All he wants is his daughter’s happiness; those who support it are welcome to attend.
Bhagyashree returns from jogging when Vinay informs her that Nikhil’s parents are coming to meet her that evening. He mentions that he is going to buy a ring and asks for her size. Bhagyashree hesitates and confesses that she isn’t ready for this step yet. Revati immediately interrupts, declaring she is ready for marriage and asks Vinay to consider her instead. But Vinay silences her, reminding Bhagyashree that Nikhil was her choice eight years ago, and he believes Nikhil will keep her happy.
Just then, Vinay opens the door to find Rishabh standing there. Rishabh teases that it looks like their hearts are still connected, joking about the newspaper vendor mistakenly delivering his paper to Vinay’s house. Vinay replies firmly that the engagement will end all confusion, and he will soon introduce Nikhil as his son-in-law.
Meanwhile, Bhagyashree struggles with her emotions while getting ready. Old memories of Rishabh haunt her. Revati approaches and notices her sister’s unease. She tells Bhagyashree that Rishabh is not entirely a bad person—he has done a lot for their family. But Bhagyashree dismisses the thought, saying he only acted to gain her trust and then betrayed her. Revati gently says the choice is hers but urges her to be sure of it. After Revati leaves, Bhagyashree feels suffocated, realizing that in trying to solve one problem, she might be walking into another. She resolves to speak openly with Nikhil.
At the engagement venue, Vinay and his family are busy with preparations. Sowmya scolds Karthik for wearing a kurta that doesn’t match her saree, adding light-hearted drama to the tense atmosphere. Just then, Shreyas returns home earlier than expected from his trip. Vinay and Padma are delighted to see him, but his happiness turns into shock when he hears about the engagement. Shreyas initially assumes Revati is marrying Purab Kapoor, but Sowmya corrects him—it’s Bhagyashree’s engagement with Nikhil.
As Shreyas questions the kurta, Rishabh arrives and claims it’s his. Shreyas loses his temper and scolds Rishabh, but Karthik quickly intervenes and drags him inside. Vinay, however, makes a bold move by inviting Rishabh to Bhagyashree’s engagement in his new attire. He says that this way, Rishabh will finally understand his future. Rishabh, in his trademark confidence, replies that indeed, he will come to know his future and leaves. Padma questions Vinay’s decision to invite him, but Vinay insists it is necessary for Rishabh to see that Bhagyashree has moved on.
Later, when the elders leave Bhagyashree and Nikhil alone, Bhagyashree gathers the courage to speak. She admits that what they are doing feels wrong and deceptive. Nikhil reminds her of their past love story, saying fate separated them but has now given them another chance. He asks her not to waste it. But Bhagyashree stands firm, telling him she doesn’t feel the same way anymore. She recalls her cherished memories with Rishabh and admits she doesn’t feel anything for Nikhil.
Nikhil insists that her heart still beats for Rishabh, but warns her not to forget the pain he caused. Bhagyashree admits she hates Rishabh for betraying her, but clarifies that this is not about Rishabh—it’s about her and Nikhil. Nikhil, however, clings to hope, assuring her that with time, she will love him again.
Just then, Rishabh makes a dramatic entry into the house. Bhagyashree immediately drifts into her memories with him, her heart visibly torn. At that very moment, Nikhil’s mother places the engagement rings in front of her. With her parents urging her to move ahead, Bhagyashree takes the ring in her trembling hands—her pain and inner conflict written all over her face.
