Sonalika tells that Prarthna has admitted many times that she has come to take alimony; she doesn’t want Shivansh, but he is always worried about her, he expresses hatred through words, but he has love in his eyes for Prarthna. She asks if she is wrong to do something in anger to get her love back.
Tanya apologizes for misunderstanding her. Sonalika lectures her. She reminds that she had convinced Bua Maa when Tanya wanted to go to the US for studies. He tells that Prarthna brought Bappa home and prayed with devotion, but her life is at stake; if anything happens to Prarthna, then Bappa’s power will be questioned. He asks Bappa to bring Prarthna back to consciousness. He tells that he never prayed for anyone, but today he wants to pray for his wife. He rings the temple bell. Gayatri looks on. She goes to Prarthna and tells her that Shivansh loves her a lot. She knows Shivansh and Prarthna are made for each other; they have love in their hearts, though they always fight. She asks Prarthna to get conscious and save Shivansh from Sonalika.
Shivansh makes a prayer and stays firm. Sonalika tells Tanya that Shivansh is praying for Prarthna’s sake. Tanya asks her to relax. Sonalika tells that he is scared of losing Prarthna. Tanya tells that he is a good person and he would pray for anyone in this situation. Sonalika tells that it’s Shivansh’s love for Prarthna. She can’t let him love someone else. She goes to Shivansh and asks him to stop; his hand is bleeding. He angrily asks her to stay away. He tells that he doesn’t know what to do to bring Prarthna to consciousness, the doctor has already warned him, so he wants to pray to Bappa and revive Prarthna.
She asks if he is realizing his words. He tells that he wants Prarthna fine, he doesn’t care if his hand bleeds, and if he gets unwell. He asks Sonalika not to stop him. Sonalika cries and goes to her room. Gayatri asks Prarthna to get up, or else she will lose everything. She tells that Shivansh will die if Prarthna leaves his life. She adds that he doesn’t like Sonalika, but Bua Maa will force him to marry Sonalika, only Prarthna can stop this from happening.
She reminds that Shivansh’s life is in danger, Prarthna has to come back for his sake and save him from his Kundali dosh. Shivansh continues to pray to Bappa. He asks Bappa to show a miracle and save Prarthna. Gayatri holds Prarthna’s hand and cries. Shivansh angrily decides to end his life if Prarthna doesn’t come back to him.

Today’s Kumkum Bhagya episode serves up a steaming plate of over-the-top drama mixed with a generous sprinkle of melodrama and helpless sighs. Sonalika is in full manipulative mode, playing the emotional puppeteer with Tanya, as if convincing her is the ultimate life mission. Honestly, Sonalika could give motivational speakers a run for their money with her “everything is fair in love and war” philosophy. Tanya, bless her heart, looks completely torn between supporting Sonalika and having her own brain, which clearly isn’t winning the battle.
Meanwhile, Shivansh is the poster child for dramatic desperation. Watching him pray like a Bollywood hero to the Bappa idol, with tears and a bleeding hand, feels like the climax of a slow-motion movie. And of course, Gayatri adds extra spice by guilt-tripping Prarthna, as if sheer pleading will revive her from unconsciousness. The entire scene seems designed to milk every drop of tension from the air.
The sudden wind change? Classic soap opera trope. Expect it to be symbolic… or just random.
All in all, it’s cheesy, it’s predictable, but somehow, we’re still invested. After all, where else will you get a bleeding hand prayer marathon disguised as a love story?
