Kumkum Bhagya 15th September 2025 Written Update: Prarthna Caught in Sonalika’s Meltdown Mayhem. Shivansh asks Prarthna what she is thinking. She says nothing. He tells that she said it right, she is angry, because she has a reason, he won’t deny his mistakes, he behaved badly with her, and even his family behaved badly, and they went against her because he didn’t take a stand for her. He accepts that he married her against her consent, he wasn’t happy with their marriage, but he had let her stay in his house unwillingly, and he wants to tell her that he has fallen for her.
His statement stays incomplete when Tanya comes running and asks him to come quickly. He hears Bua Maa shouting and goes to see. Bua Maa tells him that Sonalika has locked herself inside the room. She adds that Sonalika was crying a lot and sharing her pain. She asks him if he told something to Sonalika. She feels scared. She asks him to break the door. Prarthna asks Shivansh if Sonalika did anything wrong to herself. Shivansh asks Sonalika to open the door. She tells that maybe Sonalika fainted. He breaks the door. They get inside the room and find Sonalika fallen on the ground, with her wrist cut and bleeding.
They are shocked to realize her suicide attempt. Bua Maa scolds Prarthna and asks her to step back. She blames Shivansh for provoking Sonalika to commit suicide. Prarthna tells that she doesn’t hate Sonalika, she is worried for her. Bua Maa asks what will happen to the Randhawa family if Sonalika dies, they will be jailed and nothing can get fine. She adds that Prarthna has lost by playing such cheap games. She asks Gayatri to stop disturbing and get lost.
She asks Prarthna to answer, who will pay the price for Sonalika’s suicide, Shivansh will be accused by the law, and he will be destroyed. Prarthna asks Bua Maa not to accuse her of Sonalika’s wrong move. Bua Maa continues to reprimand her. She tells that Shivansh and Sonalika’s marriage was fixed, Prarthna came into their lives, Shivansh married Prarthna, and brought her home. She belittles Prarthna.
She tells that she assured Sonalika, Prarthna will take the money and leave the house, but Prarthna hurt Sonalika by stopping the pre-marriage functions. She adds that Prarthna has insulted Sonalika. Sonalika was in pain, Prarthna broke her hopes and pushed her towards death. Prarthna tells that Shivansh is still her husband. Bua Maa asks her to shut up; their divorce has happened, Shivansh will only belong to Sonalika, because Prarthna has come between them. She tells that Shivansh married her to take revenge on Smita, he fell in Prarthna’s trap and got confused in his heart, he has an attachment with her, but it’s not love.
Prarthna asks her to stop it. Bua Maa asks if she stopped and left Shivansh’s life. She says that when Sonalika’s parents come, they will learn the truth, and then they will destroy Shivansh and his business. She fears that police will come and arrest Shivansh. She asks Prarthna to leave Shivansh’s life and save him from coming problems if she loves him. She asks Prarthna to spare them and leave. Prarthna asks how she can save him. Bua Maa asks her to leave the house. Prarthna refuses.
Bua Maa calls her greedy. She tells that they will give her the money, but they just want her to leave. Prarthna tells that she won’t leave, because she knows something. Bua Maa asks what it is. Tanya comes and tells that there is a call from Sonalika’s mom. Bua Maa attends the call and hides Sonalika’s suicide attempt. Gayatri asks Prarthna if she will leave the house. Prarthna says no. She is prepared to hear the bitter taunts. She tells that it’s about Shivansh’s life and she has to protect him. Gayatri asks her to better take Shivansh along and leave the Randhawa house. Prarthna is puzzled. Gayatri tells that Prarthna and Shivansh can stay together, away from the family.
Prarthna tells that she can’t separate him from his family. Gayatri tells that they have no other option. She is afraid for him. She tells that Sonalika can cause deep troubles for the Randhawas, she has attempted suicide, and she will accuse Shivansh. Prarthna gets worried. Gayatri asks her to do anything but keep Shivansh safe. Prarthna doesn’t know what to do. Gayatri asks her to create any situation and take Shivansh away from this house. She tells that his life will be safe if Sonalika is away. Prarthna is in dilemma.

The show did well to highlight the stakes—Bua Maa’s over-the-top fury, the medical emergency, and Prarthna’s moral dilemma all heightened tension effectively. Yet, while the drama is gripping, the constant blaming of Prarthna starts to feel a little repetitive. Bua Maa’s rants, though entertaining in a “yikes, that’s harsh” way, underscore the show’s tendency to pile every family problem onto one character.
