Dooriyan Written Update Episode 8 – Eisha Singh | Samarth Jurel | Randeep Rai | Kaveri Priyam. The episode begins with a conversation between Sonia’s father and her younger brother, Viaan. While discussing the wedding menu, Viaan questions his father’s quick acceptance of Megh as Sonia’s groom. He points out that the family sampled countless dishes for the wedding but approved Megh in just a moment. Sonia’s father explains that his decision wasn’t rushed. He had been observing Megh from the time Sonia appointed him as assistant manager despite his failed interview. He praises Megh’s resilience, highlighting how the boy who became an orphan at fifteen has now, at twenty-five, secured a respectable position at Verma Textiles. He envisions Megh as someone who can take their company to great heights in the coming years.

Viaan, however, suggests that their elder brother Sooraj could handle the company and achieve success even faster. Their father admits this is true but reminds him that Sooraj would never agree, given his resentment toward him. The strained father-son bond lingers like an unhealed wound, one that Viaan innocently tries to question but cannot fully comprehend.

Meanwhile, Varsha’s life spirals further when she recalls Vaibhav’s threats. She had dared to stand up against his misbehavior, but instead of justice, the board turns against her. The members refuse to believe her complaint, accusing her of lying. Shockingly, Vaibhav files a false written complaint, twisting the incident by claiming that Varsha threatened him and even slapped him when he refused to grant her more time for payments. With Pandey, the office peon, witnessing only the final moments of the argument, the board sides with Vaibhav. Varsha is dismissed from her job on the spot, her pleas falling on deaf ears.

Shattered, Varsha walks out, only to be greeted by an unexpected face—Sooraj Sachdev. Meeting her after a long gap, he lightens the heavy moment with his charm. He praises her work profile, which he had seen on a networking platform, and offers her a job at his healthcare app company. Though Varsha hesitates, haunted by her memories of Lucknow, Sooraj assures her that the city itself isn’t at fault. He urges her to give herself another chance, promising that her experience in pharmaceuticals would be invaluable. His warm words stay with Varsha, though she asks for time to decide.

At Sonia’s home, wedding preparations bring both excitement and hidden tensions. Viaan and Sonia share emotional moments, speaking of their late mother and their hope for a complete family. Sonia expresses her wish that Sooraj and Bharti could also be part of the household, but Viaan knows that Sooraj’s bitterness toward their father makes this dream nearly impossible. Sonia’s dad Tej meets Bharti and invites her for Sonia’s wedding, asking her to convince Sooraj to attend the wedding. She doesn’t think Sooraj will agree. She agrees to perform Sonia’s kanyadaan. She asks Tej to give his property to Sonia and Viaan equally, since Sooraj doesn’t want anything from him.

Elsewhere, Megh delivers the final blow to Varsha through a blunt message. He admits he is getting married but refuses to explain further. He declares that their journey together ends here. Varsha, already broken, now feels the ground slipping beneath her feet. Her younger sister Harsha consoles her, but nothing can erase the sting of betrayal. Varsha informs her mom that she got fired from the job. Her mom worries.

Back home, the family prepares to celebrate Harsha’s 18th birthday. The joyous atmosphere is interrupted when news arrives that their father has met with an accident. The family rushes to the hospital, where the doctor reveals that he lost significant blood but is under observation. Alongside his belongings, the nurse hands over a government letter. To their shock, they discover that their father has been laid off from his job as a substitute teacher due to budget cuts targeting employees over fifty. The revelation crushes the family’s already fragile spirit.

Varsha begs her mother not to reveal Megh’s betrayal to their father in his condition. She takes the responsibility of breaking the news when the time is right. Her mother, overwhelmed by their misfortunes, reminds Varsha that now both father and daughter are unemployed, leaving the family in a dire financial situation. Varsha holds back her tears, silently vowing to find a way forward while protecting her family from further pain.

The episode ends with Varsha’s determination battling against despair. Surrounded by betrayals, financial struggles, and shattered dreams, she silently steels herself to stand strong—for her father, her mother, and her younger sister.
