The officer asks where they should move the files if it’s unsafe to keep them at the headquarters. After a brief pause, Jagriti volunteers, saying, “Sir, I can take the files home. They’ll be safe with me.” The officer hesitates for a moment but eventually agrees, trusting her dedication. Jagriti smiles with confidence and salutes, assuring him that the files are now in safe hands.
Once Jagriti leaves, the camera shifts to another room — Geeta, who was secretly listening, smiles wickedly. Her plan has worked perfectly. She had arranged for fake intruders to stage a false theft attempt at headquarters, all to manipulate Jagriti into taking the Defence Minister’s security papers home. “Well done, beta,” Geeta whispers to herself. “I sent those men to fake a robbery at headquarters — just so you’d bring the papers home.” Her sinister plan is unfolding exactly as she wanted.
The story then moves away from the official world and into Jagriti’s personal life. Night falls, and the Karwa Chauth moon is about to rise. Somewhere across town, Suraj Thakur looks at the moonlight sky, thinking of Jagriti. He murmurs, “Jagriti must be waiting for me. Meanwhile, Jagriti waits eagerly, dressed beautifully in red, glowing under the soft light. Her mother tells her, “The moon will rise soon, Jagriti. Go upstairs; everyone’s waiting.” Jagriti smiles shyly, her eyes searching for Suraj. Her mother Geeta, gently teases her, saying, “I told you he’ll come, but this Suraj’s temper burns as bright as the real sun. What if he stays angry and doesn’t come tonight?”
Jagriti shakes her head. Her belief in Suraj is unshakable. “No, Maa. He knows I’ve kept the fast for him. He’ll come. No matter how angry he is, he’ll come.” She picks up her phone to call him, but he doesn’t answer. Her worry starts growing. She murmurs, “Why isn’t he answering? The snake bit me. The poison is spreading.”
Jagriti panics but holds him tightly. “Don’t talk like that! Nothing will happen to you, Suraj. I’ve kept the fast for you — Lord Ram will protect you!” Suraj tells her to stay calm, whispering, “Talk to me with love, not anger. I don’t know if I’ll ever get another chance.” Jagriti scolds him lovingly, “Shut up, Suraj Thakur! You’re not dying today. I won’t let you.”
She realizes she has to suck out the poison to save him. Without hesitation, she does so — enduring the pain, ignoring her tears. The background music heightens the emotion as she cries, “It will hurt, Suraj… but you’ll live.” She extracts the venom, coughing in pain, but her focus remains firm.
Moments later, Suraj regains some strength. He opens his eyes slowly and whispers, “You saved me, Jagriti… you always remove every poison from my life.” She helps him stand up, supporting his body. “Let’s go to the doctor,” she says. “Come on, lean on me.” He smiles faintly, replying, “You’re my doctor, Jagriti.”
The two slowly walk back toward the house under the moonlight. Romantic music plays softly as flashbacks of their love fill the screen — their first meeting, their fights, their laughter. Jagriti looks up at the moon and smiles with tears in her eyes. Suraj says, “You’ve seen the moon, and you’ve completed your fast.”

But the happiness doesn’t last long. Suddenly, Jagriti feels dizzy. She sways, clutching her stomach. Suraj catches her in his arms, terrified. “Jagriti! What happened?” He realizes the horrifying truth — the poison she sucked out from his body has entered hers. “Oh my God, Jagriti! You took my poison into you!”
He panics and tries to lift her, shouting for help. But Jagriti weakly says, “Don’t worry, I’m fine… let’s just get you treated first.” He yells back, “You’re not fine! You’re coming with me right now!”
The screen shifts — Geeta suddenly enters Jagriti’s room, pretending to search for her phone. Suraj isn’t there yet. Sapna catches her and questions her presence. Geeta fumbles for an excuse, saying she forgot where she kept her phone. Sapna notices her phone is actually in her hand — Geeta laughs it off, blaming old age.
