Saru sees Ved and asks him not to come inside. Ved jumps into the fire and reaches Saru. He tries to move the cupboard away and free her leg. She asks him to take Dadusa outside. He asks her to listen to her. He reminds their promise, they will always stand together. He refuses to leave her. He tells that they will face death together. He hugs her. She asks him to save Dadu first, and she will try and come out. He tells that he will drop Dadu off outside and come out. He takes the wheelchair.
Ved tells the family that Saru is still stuck in the fire. He runs back to Saru. She sees a burning wood log falling on Ved and pushes him away. The wood log falls on Saru and injures her. She faints. Ved shouts Saru. The family rushes Saru to the hospital. She suffers major burns. Ved asks the doctor to save Saru. Anika thinks Saru is dead and feels peaceful.
