The story begins with Madhu sitting alone in her room, lost in thoughts of Shekhar. The pain of separation has been slowly consuming her, but what breaks her completely is the news that Shekhar’s mother is looking for a new bride for him. Her hands tremble as she dials Shekhar’s number, unable to hold back her tears any longer.
When Shekhar answers the call, Madhu’s voice cracks under the weight of her emotions. She sobs and tells him that she cannot live without him. Confused and concerned, Shekhar asks her why she’s crying. Madhu reveals the truth — that his mother is planning to get him remarried.
