The atmosphere inside the Birla house turns tense the moment Urmila spots Chandrakant rushing toward the door with Annapurna Dadi right behind him. Both seem shaken, their steps hurried and restless. What unsettles Urmila the most is the shagun plate in Chandrakant’s hands — decorated with flowers, rice, and a diya burning steadily despite his trembling grip. Urmila freezes. Her mind begins to race. She wonders if Chandrakant has found Saroja after all these years and is going to welcome her back home.
Fear prickles her skin. The thought of Saroja returning threatens everything she and Kamini have been trying to control. Her heartbeat climbs unevenly as she watches Chandrakant’s car speed out of the gate with Annapurna beside him.
Kamini, suspicious and unsettled, immediately follows them in another car. A storm brews in her chest as she tries to understand what is happening. When she sees the shagun plate, panic rises in her eyes. She knows what that plate symbolizes — a welcome, a reunion, a restoration. And that is the one thing she cannot allow.
The chase leads her far from the city center. On a lonely stretch of road, Kamini’s eyes widen. A woman stands by the roadside, and Kamini recognizes her instantly. The shock is brutal. It is Saroja — alive, breathing, and standing right there. A flicker of disbelief crosses her face, followed by pure dread. If Saroja meets Chandrakant or Annapurna, every truth Kamini buried will resurface. Her lies, her manipulations, her hold over the family — everything risks collapsing.
She cannot let that happen.
In a sudden rage, Kamini orders the driver to run Saroja down. The cruelty in her voice startles even the driver. She refuses to think twice. In her mind, killing Saroja and her daughter is the only way to keep the past buried. The car surges forward, its engine roaring like a beast unleashed.
On the roadside, Saroja — now living as Gauri — senses something wrong. A strange heaviness fills her chest. She looks toward the approaching car and sees Kamini inside. Her eyes widen in horror. She instantly understands this is not an accident. Kamini is coming straight for them.
Saru walks a few steps ahead, unaware of the danger closing in. Gauri’s instincts ignite. She screams Saru’s name with every ounce of strength in her body. Saru turns just in time for Gauri to pull her aside. The car misses them by a breath and zooms past, leaving dust, screeching tyres, and two trembling lives behind.
Gauri clutches Saru, shaken and breathless, while Saru struggles to understand what just happened. Neither knows how close death came — or how far Kamini is willing to go now that her darkest fear has taken shape.
