The company is gearing up for a double celebration: Gayatri’s birthday and the annual company anniversary. It’s the grandest event on their calendar, the kind that reflects the face of Vardhan Group itself. Every year, Meera takes immense pride in crafting every detail, from décor to guest lists to hospitality. For her, this event isn’t work—it’s legacy.
So when Arya begins outlining the preparations, Meera automatically assumes she will take the lead again. It’s her domain, her playground, her comfort zone. But the next moment rattles her composure. Arya calmly announces that Anu will be supervising the entire celebration this time. Meera is instructed to assist only if required.
The shift feels like a blow. Meera freezes for a moment before forcing a polite nod. She hides her emotions behind her usual professional mask, but inside, something cracks.
