Chandrika gathers the family in the hall and announces that her old friend Kanchan Jahangir has returned to Udaipur from the US and has invited the entire Chauhan family for dinner. She explains that Kanchan and her family are as wealthy and influential as the Chauhans, and just like her, Kanchan also values her family above everything else. Sarika immediately turns the news into an opportunity and remarks that the richer the party, the heavier the jewellery she will get to wear. Chandrika ignores the superficial comment and clearly states that they are going for an important social and business commitment and not to display the cracks in their family. She warns everyone that whatever has happened at home in the past days will not be discussed or reflected at Kanchan’s house. She expects everyone to behave like a united and dignified family.
Avinash breaks the silence and tells Chandrika that he does not agree with her decision. He admits that he cannot pretend everything is fine when Dev and Vasudha are out of the house, struggling somewhere on their own. He tells her that he has no interest in attending the dinner. Chandrika reminds him that this is not a request but her command. She explains that certain appearances are important for business and now that Avinash is the only heir representing the Chauhan empire, it is his duty to stand by her. Avinash counters that pretending to be a perfect family is easy for her, but not for him, when the reality is completely opposite. He refuses to go and calls himself an incapable heir who cannot lie with such ease.
He adds that he is not like her elder son who silently obeyed without questions, and that as the younger son he will always stay rebellious. He asks her not to expect anything from him. Chandrika is hurt but masks it under anger. Sarika steps in and tries to flatter Chandrika, assuring her that even if others do not support her, she and Mayur will always stand by her. She suggests that Chandrika can involve them more in the business so they can be of use. Avinash rebukes Sarika for trying to cook her own bread on the fire of their family crisis and tells her to stop using the situation for personal benefit.
Divya gently assures Chandrika that she will talk to Avinash and handle him. She follows him and calms him down, reminding him of the promise he once made to Dev and Vasudha. She tells him that they both had always wanted Chandrika’s respect and image to remain intact, no matter what happened to them. Divya explains that if Dev and Vasudha come to know that Avinash is openly defying Chandrika in public, they will feel hurt. She persuades him that sometimes a person has to keep the family’s honour above their personal emotions. Avinash struggles but begins to understand her point.
Meanwhile, in another part of the city, Vasudha is busy in the kitchen of Kanchan’s house. She has taken up the work as part of a catering team to earn money and support Dev in these difficult days. Manisha, the lady supervising the kitchen, watches Vasudha working in a simple saree and tells her that such clothes will not be allowed for staff in a high-profile party. She insists that all workers must wear a uniform so that the wealthy guests see a professional team. Vasudha replies that she can comfortably work even in a saree, but Manisha reminds her that this is a big people’s party and they will expect uniformed staff. She calls another helper, Saroj, and asks her to give Vasudha the catering costume.
Saroj hands Vasudha a set of trousers and a shirt. Vasudha awkwardly admits that she has never worn such clothes before. Manisha reassures her that nobody here knows her and that these clothes are also just clothes. She promises that if Vasudha’s work is appreciated, she can earn ten to fifteen thousand rupees in a day, which would make it easy for her and Dev to handle their daily expenses. Vasudha thinks about Dev’s struggles, how he has been working hard without eating properly, and agrees to wear the uniform. Dev ends the call with renewed energy and gets back to work at the florist shop. His boss praises his last delivery and tells him that he has done a good job, saving someone else’s position as well. Dev gathers courage and requests for an advance, explaining that he is ashamed to ask but he and his wife have no food at home. The florist refuses to give a cash advance immediately but offers a different kind of help. He assigns Dev another delivery, this time to a very big house, and hints that the client is rich and generous, and Dev may get a good tip. He hands him a special bouquet ordered for Kanchan Jahangir and instructs him to deliver it carefully.
Back at the Chauhan mansion, Chandrika still sits upset when Sarika continues her taunting commentary, calling Chandrika unlucky for having two sons who constantly trouble her. She rants that one son married a servant and the other one never loses a chance to challenge her authority. Avinash interrupts Sarika and asks her to think before she speaks. He reminds her that he stayed in the house to look after the family after Dev left, and that he is fulfilling his brother’s responsibility with honesty. He tells Chandrika that he will go to the dinner for the sake of his elder brother and Vasudha, and he promises that from now on he will not ignore her words, because he does not want to break the promise he gave to them. Avinash politely corrects her and introduces himself as the younger son, Avinash Singh Chauhan. Kanchan realises her mistake and asks where Devansh is. Chandrika covers the truth and tells her that Dev is busy with work and could not make it. Kanchan accepts the explanation and takes them inside, assuring them that now that they have restarted their meetings, there will be more chances to gather together.

Inside Kanchan’s kitchen, Manisha hands over the welcome drinks and instructs Vasudha to serve them confidently. Vasudha grows nervous when she hears that the Chauhan family is sitting in the drawing room. She imagines them seeing her in the staff uniform and panics. At that moment she sneezes, and Manisha rushes to her, relieved that the sneeze did not happen in front of madam Kanchan.
