Jagriti reaches the basti and immediately intervenes. Her eyes scan the chaos until she meets Bindi Mausi’s anxious gaze. She senses something more troubling than the protest. When she demands to know what has happened, she learns that her younger sister, Kachori, is missing. The revelation rattles her. She looks sharply at Kalikant and accuses him directly. She warns him that if anything has happened to Kachori, she will drag both him and Suraj straight to jail, no matter what power they think they hold. Her voice carries the firmness of an officer and the pain of a sister.
Kalikant, however, remains unaffected. He is smug, calm, and almost amused. He walks away with his hands behind his back, knowing that Suraj’s loyalty shields him from every threat. He returns to the haveli and settles down with a drink, his smile widening as if he has already won another unseen battle.
Jagriti enters the haveli and confronts him with ice-cold determination. She reminds him that she is giving him one last chance to accept an offer that could save him. She offers him freedom in exchange for disappearing from their lives forever. She tells him that if he refuses, he might not only lose his power but spend the rest of his life in prison. Kalikant rejects the offer shamelessly. He calls it a useless proposal and proudly claims he has no fear of the law, especially now that Suraj stands beside him like an unbreakable shield.
Meanwhile, Suraj finds himself restless. Jagriti’s accusations and the tension in the basti keep replaying in his mind. He feels compelled to verify the truth, but he refuses to ask Jagriti directly. Instead, he decides to reach out to the one person he believes is still unbiased — Ghungroo. Jagriti sits in her room and sees Suraj’s message appear on Ghungroo’s phone. Her heart races because this might finally be her chance. The cover is embossed with flowers and gold borders, and his name appears beside Jagriti’s. He turns the pages slowly, each photograph capturing moments he has no memory of — him standing beside Jagriti, him performing rituals, him smiling at her, and him holding her hand. The images strike him with a force he cannot process. His heartbeat becomes loud, his breath turns heavy, and his face reflects both shock and denial.
As he stands with the album in his hands, Jagriti appears in the doorway. Her presence fills the room, not with anger, but with the silent hope that this moment might finally open Suraj’s eyes. She watches him silently, knowing that the truth is right in front of him. She does not speak, but her expression says everything — she has fought too hard and endured too much to give up now.
Suraj looks at her, shaken, confused, and emotionally overwhelmed. His eyes move from her face to the photographs again, and a storm of questions rises inside him.
