Jhanak 16th December 2025 Written Update: Gifts, Hidden Sparks, and a Dangerous Trap for Jhanak

The episode unfolds with celebration on the surface, but uneasiness simmering underneath, as gifts, taunts, jealousy, and secret plotting slowly tighten around Jhanak.

The episode begins with Sanjhbati gently telling Aditi that problems always find solutions when shared with family. She then hands Aditi a gift and warmly says she would love it if Aditi wears it the next day. Aditi responds politely, saying she will see. Sanjhbati notices Payal’s silence and asks her about it. Payal admits she is curious about her gift. Sanjhbati happily gives Payal her present, while Dritimaan jokingly claims it was his choice and teasingly adds that he knows Payal better than Surjeet does. Sanjhbati then presents a gift to Surjeet, who praises their taste and thanks them.

Dritimaan gives a gift to Mishti next. Mishti immediately asks if he bought only one gift for her. Sanjhbati calmly clarifies that she bought one gift for everyone and can buy more if Mishti wants. Mishti snaps back, saying she was talking to Dritimaan, not Sanjhbati. Dritimaan firmly states that he and Sanjhbati are one and the same now. Sanjhbati asks if Mishti doesn’t expect a gift from her as well. Mishti cruelly remarks what Sanjhbati could even gift her when she does not earn much. The room falls silent. Dritimaan sharply questions Mishti’s words, while Sanjhbati stands her ground, telling Mishti she has no right to comment on her income. Dritimaan orders Mishti to apologize. Rishi also scolds her. Mishti, refusing to back down, says she does not want a gift if drama is required for it. Dritimaan asks her to stop immediately.

Putul brings Jhanak into the room. Aditi tries to excuse herself and go inside, but Sanjhbati stops her, saying she still has gifts to give. Before that, she surprises everyone by handing a gift to Jhanak. Jhanak is taken aback and asks why Sanjhbati bought such an expensive saree for her. Sanjhbati simply asks whether she liked it. Jhanak admits it is beautiful and thanks both Sanjhbati and Dritimaan sincerely.

Dritimaan then gives a gift to Rishi. Rishi appreciates it and asks Sachin to bring the gifts he bought in return. He hands gifts to both Dritimaan and Sanjhbati. Aditi notices one more gift box and pointedly asks Rishi whether it is for her or Mishti. Sanjhbati assumes it must be for Mishti, but Rishi calmly says it is actually for Jhanak. He explains that Jhanak does not have many clothes, so he bought her a saree.

This instantly angers Aditi. She taunts Rishi, telling him to buy even more for Jhanak and sarcastically adds that he need not do anything for his wife. Rishi snaps back, asking her not to speak to him like that. He declares that he can buy anything for his family members. Confused and uncomfortable, Jhanak asks Putul what is happening and says this is exactly why she did not want to come downstairs.

Rishi hands the saree to Jhanak. Jhanak refuses, saying she never asked him to buy anything for her and insists he give it to Mishti instead. Mishti immediately rejects it, saying she will not wear something Rishi bought for Jhanak. Rishi urges Jhanak to accept the saree, but she refuses again. Sanjhbati gently intervenes and convinces Jhanak to accept it to avoid further tension. Jhanak finally agrees. Rishi thanks her quietly.

The next day marks the beginning of the Aashirwad ceremony. Dadabhai warmly welcomes Sanjhbati’s family and says he feels extremely happy. Kaka echoes his happiness, and Tanushri suggests starting the ceremony. Rishi compliments Sanjhbati and Dritimaan. Soon, Aniruddh and Arshi arrive. Aditi hugs them warmly. Arshi congratulates the couple and presents them with expensive watches, saying they are sponsoring the catering as well. Dritimaan politely says it was unnecessary, but Aniruddh boasts that the caterer is the best and guests remember food above everything. Abhimanyu thanks him, and Indumati invites them inside.

Sanjhbati looks around and asks Putul where Jhanak is. Putul says she must be nearby and mentions that Jhanak looks very beautiful today. Neelu taunts that Jhanak looks like a main family member. Jhanak arrives just then. Sanjhbati compliments her warmly. Jhanak says she has some work to finish and leaves quietly. Meanwhile, Aniruddh discreetly checks with a waiter if everything is going according to plan. The waiter assures him that the work will be done within an hour. Aniruddh leaves, looking satisfied.

The Aashirwad ceremony begins. Elsewhere, Rishi accidentally collides with Jhanak. She almost falls, but Rishi catches her in time. They share a lingering eye lock. Rishi softly says he wants her to stay like this forever. Aditi walks in at that moment and demands to know what is going on. Jhanak explains she slipped and Rishi helped her. Aditi angrily questions Rishi, accusing him of holding Jhanak even after saving her, especially in front of guests. Jhanak apologizes to Aditi and quickly leaves.

Back at the ceremony, Kaka blesses Dritimaan, asking him to always keep Sanjhbati happy. Sanjhbati’s mother jokes that Dritimaan cannot run away anymore. Dritimaan promises to give Sanjhbati a happy life. Arshi comments that Aditi married a man like Rishi and believes husband and wife should resolve their differences. Aniruddh adds that he trusts Rishi and Aditi’s understanding and praises Aditi. Dadabhai says Aditi’s well-being depends on her own fate and strength. Indumati cuts the discussion short, and the couple takes blessings from elders.

Later, a waiter hands food to Jhanak and asks her to keep it in the kitchen. Jhanak goes inside. The waiter locks the kitchen door from outside. Unaware of this, Arshi gifts Sanjhbati a necklace, and Aditi helps her wear it. Suddenly, Rishi notices smoke rising from the kitchen area.

The episode ends on a chilling note, with danger quietly closing in on Jhanak.

Precap: Rishi and the family panic after realizing Jhanak is locked inside the kitchen.
