Vasudha 21st December 2025 Written Update: Karanvir Targets Dev. The episode opens with tension hanging thick in the Chauhan house. Chandrika’s anger is still raw, and her resentment toward Dev is unmistakable. She snaps at him sharply, reminding him that she does not even wish to see his face anymore. She questions what kind of drama he is trying to create by standing there again. Her words are harsh, final, and meant to push him away completely.
Dev remains calm despite the sting. He folds his hands respectfully and tells her that he understands her anger and admits she has every right to be upset with him. Still, he reminds her that today’s office meeting is extremely important and that she hates being late. With Hanumant unwell, someone has to drive her. He gently asks her to allow him to take the car just until Hanumant recovers.
Chandrika immediately refuses. She states firmly that he will not drive her car. Dev does not argue. Instead, he lowers himself further, asking her to forget that he is her son for now and see him only as a driver filling in for his sick father-in-law. He reminds her that she has often given work to staff members’ relatives before. He insists that he drives well and promises not to give her even a single complaint. His request is not emotional manipulation; it is quiet, respectful persistence.
Chandrika turns away, unwilling to listen. She orders that he be sent away. The situation escalates until Prabhat steps in. He calmly but firmly tells Chandrika that asking Dev to leave will not solve the problem. Time is running out, no other driver is available at such short notice, and delaying the meeting would cause serious consequences. He reframes the situation, asking her not to think of Dev as her son driving her, but as Hanumant’s son-in-law stepping in to fulfill his duty. He asks a simple question—if Hanumant’s son-in-law had come seeking work, would she have refused?
Chandrika struggles internally. Her pride resists, but reality corners her. With visible reluctance, she agrees to leave. Dev silently takes the driver’s seat, and the car moves.
Back at Hanumant’s house, the atmosphere is equally strained. Hanumant lies weak, refusing to eat anything prepared by Vasudha. She gently urges him to eat khichdi so he can take his medicines, reminding him that his recovery is important if he wishes to resume duty for Chandrika. Vasudha feeds him patiently, swallowing her own hurt as he mutters bitterly that if she had never come here with her husband, his health and peace would not have suffered.
Vasudha does not retaliate. She accepts his anger, believing it comes from pain, not hatred. She reassures him softly, saying that both Chandrika and Hanumant are angry now, but faith will heal this bitterness. Prabhat arrives and checks on Hanumant, apologizing for the rare lapse in duty. Hanumant is deeply upset that he could not take Chandrika to such an important meeting. When he asks who went instead, Prabhat answers honestly that Dev drove her today.
Vasudha observes quietly that perhaps this unexpected situation might allow mother and son to spend time together. Prabhat agrees. He believes that anger cannot last forever, especially between a mother and her son. He sees divine design in Dev losing his job, Hanumant falling ill, and Chandrika needing a driver on the same day. To him, it feels like fate forcing wounds to surface so they can finally heal.
Inside the car, silence dominates. Chandrika struggles even to address Dev. The discomfort is visible when she realizes she needs to instruct him but cannot bring herself to call him her son. Dev breaks the tension gently, reminding her that she can call him by the name she once used. If that name no longer holds affection, she can simply call him the driver. He assures her again that he is competent, honest, and hardworking, and that serving her is enough for him.
His humility only unsettles Chandrika further.
As they reach to pick up Sunita, Dev brakes abruptly, startling Chandrika. Sunita explodes, scolding him for his lack of driving sense and snapping that he almost ran the car over her. She orders him to step out and open the door properly, criticizing his manners. Dev apologizes instantly and corrects himself without protest. The power imbalance is clear, but so is his restraint.
During the drive, Sunita continues asserting control. She orders the AC adjusted, the radio turned on, and instructs him not to listen. Moments later, she scolds him for driving too fast, then too slow. Dev absorbs every insult silently, adjusting his driving to her commands. Chandrika notices the tension but focuses on the meeting discussion, complimenting the company’s presentation and future plans.
At the office, Pandey informs Avinash about troubling market rumors. News has spread that Dev is no longer associated with the Chauhan Group, and speculation suggests internal conflict. Investors fear instability. Avinash dismisses the rumors outwardly, calling them baseless, but the mention of Dev’s absence visibly shakes him. Still, he maintains authority, signing papers confidently.
Sunita praises Chandrika’s handling of her driver, commenting that firmness keeps staff disciplined. She even requests Dev as her temporary driver next week when her own is on leave.
Outside, Avinash receives a call from Sweetu. The little girl is emotionally fragile, asking if he is really her father. She shares her pain of being bullied at school and her belief that her father is alive despite what her mother says. He struggles to explain reality without breaking her heart. When Sweetu insists she will stop going to school and will find her father herself, he promises to meet her and help uncover the truth together. His concern is genuine and protective.
Back at the office parking area, staff members greet Dev respectfully, still seeing him as their former leader. Dev jokes lightly, reclaiming warmth through humility. But elsewhere, Karanvir receives explosive news. He learns that Dev Singh Chauhan is now driving his own mother to office in uniform. His face lights up with cruel excitement. To him, this is the perfect opportunity.
Karanvir immediately plots a public humiliation. He decides that a small accident on the road would serve perfectly. He wants the world to witness a Chauhan son beaten on the streets while his mother watches.
Meanwhile, Vasudha calls Dev, upset that he left without informing her. Dev reassures her playfully, telling her he is enjoying the AC and music. His light tone hides the reality of his pain. Vasudha senses the danger but trusts his strength.
The episode closes with parallel emotions colliding. Chandrika sits rigid in the backseat, pretending indifference while her heart churns. Dev drives steadily, absorbing insult after insult with dignity. Vasudha waits anxiously at home. And somewhere else, Karanvir prepares to turn Dev’s sacrifice into a public nightmare. Karanvir gets Dev blamed for the accident. The people brutally thrash Dev, much to Chandrika’s shock.
What began as duty is now turning into a test of endurance. The road ahead promises not reconciliation, but violence, truth, and a moment that could shatter or finally melt a mother’s heart.
