Vasudha 13th January 2026 Written Update: Vasudha Shocks Dev By Breaking Chauhans Pride
Makar Sankranti dawns with sudden panic in the Chauhan house. Chandrika realizes they have forgotten the most important ritual of the day. As she voices her worry, she reminds everyone that the entire office staff will be waiting for food from the Chauhan household. No one would have brought their tiffins, trusting the tradition that has been followed for years. With barely two hours left, Chandrika wonders how food for so many people can be prepared in such a short time.
Sarika steps in with her usual sharp tone and reminds Chandrika that a cook has been hired for this exact purpose. She casually suggests that the kitchen in-charge be ordered to handle everything, dismissing the emotional value of the ritual. Chandrika looks unconvinced and turns her gaze toward Vasudha, questioning whether she can truly manage such a responsibility. This tradition is not new, and there is no room for mistakes. She urges Vasudha to act quickly because the food must reach the office on time.
Vasudha listens silently. Inside, she feels torn. Dev’s cold behavior has already wounded her deeply, yet she steels herself. She reflects on how she never imagined that trying to give happiness to others would force her to swallow poison herself. Dev’s indifference is becoming unbearable, and she silently prays for strength. When Sarika hands over a long menu, Vasudha is stunned. There are more than fifty items listed, and food needs to be prepared for around one hundred and fifty people. The kitchen staff doubts it is even possible to cook so much within the house.
Vasudha does not argue. She calmly tells everyone that everything will be managed and asks them to focus on their assigned work. She firmly states that the food will reach the office before lunch, without delay or chaos. Her confidence unsettles Sarika, who watches closely, suspicious of Vasudha’s intentions.
Soon, the scene shifts to the office. The staff arrives and greets Dev and the family warmly, wishing them on Makar Sankranti. They speak with pride about the Chauhan Group’s first office and how this annual feast feels like a blessing. For them, the food from the Chauhan kitchen is not just a meal but prasad. Dev welcomes everyone on Chandrika’s behalf, explaining that she had to travel to Delhi for an important meeting but the tradition will continue. He emphasizes that eating together is not just a ritual but a symbol that every employee is family.
As lunch begins, Savitri notices something unsettling back at home. The food containers are ready, yet the kitchen is spotless. Not a single dirty utensil lies around. It becomes clear that the food was not cooked there. She immediately orders the boxes to be loaded into the vehicle but quietly fumes. She confronts Vasudha, accusing her of crossing all limits. Vasudha responds coldly, reminding Savitri that she was given responsibility, and how she fulfills it is her concern. She warns Savitri to stop interfering and sit quietly.
At the office, Vasudha arrives and stands behind the food counter. Dev watches her with disappointment, remembering how he once dreamed of introducing her proudly as Vasudha Chauhan. Now, that pride feels shattered. Employees begin eating, but murmurs slowly rise. Some comment that the food is unusually oily. Others whisper that the taste does not feel homemade. A few openly suggest that the food seems to have come from a hotel.
Dev overhears these remarks, and his face hardens. He feels humiliated. He recalls clearly instructing Vasudha that the staff must be served home-cooked food. Unable to contain his anger, he storms toward Vasudha and demands answers. Sarika smugly enjoys the chaos, convinced her position is finally secure.
Dev drags Vasudha aside and confronts her fiercely. He accuses her of ordering hotel food instead of cooking at home and asks how she dared to break a tradition that Chandrika has upheld since the company’s inception. Vasudha defends herself without remorse. She questions why she should suffer in a hot kitchen when hotel food of the finest quality is available. She reminds him that she followed the menu exactly and no one complained openly.
Dev snaps back that the silence of the staff was out of respect, not approval. He tells her that her decision has crushed Chandrika’s dignity and broken a sacred tradition. He declares that what she has done is unforgivable and orders her to stay away from him before he loses control completely. He admits that he once saw Chandrika’s reflection in Vasudha and believed she would carry forward every family custom. Today, he realizes how wrong he was.
Left alone, Vasudha silently absorbs every harsh word. Inside, her heart breaks, but she accepts the pain. She tells herself that earning Dev’s hatred was the only way to fulfill her promise to Chandrika. She knows she has succeeded, even if it costs her everything.
Back at home, Hanumant learns about the incident and explodes in rage. He scolds Vasudha for playing with Chauhan family traditions and calls her actions deceitful. He reminds her that the entire office waits all year for this meal and that even he has always treated it as sacred. He accuses her of forgetting her duties as a daughter-in-law and disgracing both her maternal and marital families.
Vasudha refuses to apologize. She insists she has done nothing wrong. Hanumant loses patience and decides to punish her himself. He locks her outside the house, forcing her to spend the freezing night outdoors. Vasudha bangs on the door, begging him to open it, crying that it is unbearably cold. Hanumant remains unmoved, cruelly saying it would be better if she died.
Inside the Chauhan house, Chandrika sits silently, shattered. She confesses to Prabhat that she trusted Vasudha to protect every family tradition. She cannot understand how Vasudha changed so drastically. Her faith feels broken.
Elsewhere, Avinash grows anxious as Anamika stops answering his calls. When she finally responds, she explains her phone battery died and assures him that Sweetu is fine. Yet she requests Avinash to stop helping them further, saying she does not want to trouble him anymore. Avinash senses something is wrong but cannot force her.
Late at night, Divya notices Avinash leaving again. He lies, claiming a friend needs urgent help. Divya watches him go, certain he is hiding something.
Outside the Chauhan house, Vasudha shivers in the cold, repeatedly pleading for the door to be opened. Her voice grows weaker with every cry. She curls up, whispering that she might not survive till morning, as the bitter cold closes in around her.
The episode ends with Vasudha abandoned in the freezing night, Dev burning with anger, Chandrika drowning in disappointment, and multiple secrets quietly tightening their grip on every relationship in the Chauhan household.
